I accidentially ripped off the female ethernet contact of my Dahua cam. Fell from a ladder when mounting it and camera hit the ground.
I now have to put on a new ethernet contact myself. What is the easiest way to do that?
Put a mail connector and us a female-female for extension? In what order should the colors of the cable be?

Thanks for any advice

Seems like the threads above have cables not similar to mine, see attached. I actually have standard colors on my broken cable, although two colors are missing.

Should I try just standard numbering of the colors?

You don't say which camera you have but my DH-SD59430U-HNI was wired per standard T-568b.

Is there enough wire out of original connector to ping wires to pins using VOM?

The "normal" wiring with ethernet cable is the "B" type (WO,O,WG,B,WB,G,WBr,Br). I would just by another Ethernet Female connector and punch tool and punch it down based on Type B and see if that works. If not you can always change the order of the cables in the female until you are able to get it working.

It's standard Ethernet POE wires. Simply terminate it with socket or connector.
I don't understand the point of this whole topic)
