About lens

Can I use the lens of my 3.6mm analog camera for my IP board camera with 2.8mm? I still have it under the roof, too lazy to remove it. tnx

It all depends ...
If the mount type is the same (M12 is common) and the dimensions fit.
A large aperture (low-light) lens can be quite wide and long.
You won't know until you try it.

Ok I did change the lens and it seems like a normal 3.6mm lens. I replace my ordinary Board IP Camera with Sony img 225 Board Camera and I m satisfied with low light performance in dimly lighted narrow alley. I m just wondering if I replace it with proper lens suited for IP camera will there be any difference in low light ability? Its confusing there is written 3mp in 2.8mm lens and nothing in my old 3.6 lens. thanks.
