Maybe someone should tell Hogg that sharks are not the same as guns? Like, you know, sharks are alive, and, like, guns are not. Sharks attack on their own, but guns need an evil person to use them in an attack.

^^ I lived in Nigeria for five years. Boko Haram was just getting entrenched in the north at that time. There were not many such attacks in the south then. In Nigeria, the Muslims are predominately in the north with Christians in the south. Boko Haram is a Muslim terrorist group that has over the years killed many Christians though out Nigeria. The photo included with that piece is not the people that did the killing. It is an old photo.
While it is true that Nigerians are not allowed to own guns, and only the military and not all police are armed, many Nigerians do have guns that they have gotten from the black market. Those are mostly in the delta south area. Normal people would not have guns, but the criminal element are heavily armed, some renting those arms from the police.

"The user alleged an Abbott representative followed the family home after they identified his nephew's body and "informed us he (was) willing to pay us to stand with the Gov and say we don't need stronger gun laws."
But the story was fabricated, the owner of the Twitter account that posted it told USA TODAY in a phone interview.
Abbott's press secretary, Renea Eze, also repudiated the claims to USA TODAY.
"This did not happen and would never be allowed to happen," Eze wrote in an email.
