2CD2135F NO english firmware upgrade , so replace camera?

Camera keeps freezing / crashing. Its hooked up to a hik dvr and there is no SD card in the cam. (I assume that's why it crashes)

So what external fixed dome cam do I go for? ipc-d140?

I Could also do with a mini dome ptz, any recommendations?

I doubt that. It would be more likely if there was an SD card and the card was faulty.
Hikvision cameras are generally very nearly 100% stable.
I have a couple of 3335s and a 2335 in use.
They have been 100% stable since February when I replaced the NVR and re-arranged the networking.

I'd look for external factors for freezing, such as network cabling, power supply.
Pre-made or self-made cable?
How is the camera powered?

*edit*
Is the camera accessible from the internet, eg 'port forwarding' in use?
Is UPnP enabled on the router and in the camera?
These could also be factors, especially with firmware older than 5.4.41, vulnerable to the Hikvision backdoor

Pre-made or self-made cable? SELF MADE
How is the camera powered? ONE IS POWERED FROM A HIK NVR ONE IS POWERED FROM A HUB(fairly short runs)
Is the camera accessible from the internet, eg 'port forwarding' in use? PORT FORWARDING DISABLED
Is UPnP enabled on the router and in camera UNSURE
These could also be factors, especially with firmware older than 5.4.41, vulnerable to the Hikvision backdoor THINK THEY ARE ALL ON 5.3.3

When they crash sometimes it is just the picture that freezes and you can still log onto the cam. Other times cam just crashes and you cannot logon too the i.p. and sadp cannot see it. (they prob crash every few months or so)

The nvr is a DS-7604NI-E1/p4 on latest firmware.

I have a third 2CD2135F powered from a separate cisco hub with an sdcard in and its never crashed.

I have disabled UPnP on the cams and the nvr.

"Enable Record Schedule" was enabled on the camera with no sdcard/NAS/Storage

Did you try the inbound vulnerability check before you did that - despite my bungled URL for ShieldsUp! ?
You might be surprised what UPnP gets up to without you realising.
And that firmware version has the 'Hikvision backdoor' available to be exploited.

no vulnerability found. using shield up. (after change, never tried before)

I assume nothing can get past the router anyway.
