    BI crashes!

I have same system i5-3470 with 8GB RAM. 16 cameras 81 MP/sec. Runs at 10-12% CPU. Go over the Optimizing in Wiki like wittaj suggested. It's the setup NOT the gear. You'll love it

    Restart after unexpected shutdown

Apologies for the noob cell pics. I read the Admin section and read it again. The instructions in the manual are for the initial setup and have no effect after the fact.( The incorrect settings stick like a barnacle) I UNCHECKED the ' RUN AS A WINDOW SERVICE' , rebooted, and THEN followed the...

    Restart after unexpected shutdown

Strange situation going on for months. System restarts twice a day following the shift from Night profile to daytime profile and back again, on the BI server. Not sure if the service goes down too. Wondered why so close to the same time and determined it was following the civic twilight/sunrise...

    Worth the update!

I'm really happy with the Continuous+Alerts recording. It is such a huge savings on disk space that I'm still waiting to see how many days 12TB can hold. The Dual Stream and C+A allows my i5-3470 to run 12 cameras 80MP/s at 10-12% CPU! Very impressed with the software. Kudos to the designer(s)...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

In the ONVIF app when you select Sub-stream and view it in Live the sub URL should show in the bottom of the screen.

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

ONVIF Device manager is a good and free program. It will illustrate the correct URL to use in the BI parameters. Toggle between streams and the URL will be listed during the live view screen.

The Dreaded GAP. Very Frustrated New User

True. Multi camera view will be limited to 3 FPS. My system is only an i5 3470. Any higher FPS on the sub works my CPU over. If something is of interest I just click and full stream in its glorious majesty is revealed. On an underpowered system ever bit helps sometimes.

The Dreaded GAP. Very Frustrated New User

CPU usage is high. You're not benefitting from the substream to lower the CPU usage. Go into each camera GUI and lower the resolution and frame rate of the substream. I have had no issues with setting mine ,as an example, as such: 4MP camera- Main stream (2688*1520) @30fps i-Frame@30 (it's...

    Hikvision DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 configuration issue

Figured it out. ONVIF required a User name and password to be created, that was the password required for BI and ONVIF Device Manager to allow a connection.

    Hikvision DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 configuration issue

Having issues trying to get BI to add the camera. I can log in to the camera through http: on my PC and have updated the password and IP address. The ONVIF has been enabled and the camera can be added through the Camera Discovery, however, I am at a loss as to what to use in the Main Stream box...

Analog PTZ camera with Blue Iris?

I have 3 Pelco PTZ's hooked up through a Dahua DVR that streams to my BI. Everything works fine, but when compared to my 2MP cams its like having sand in your eyes. BI will allow all functions but AUX relays to function on those cams.

    Immediate system crash

Out of the blue (pun) my BI system first froze ( one camera dropped). I attempted a restart as the cursor had no effect on any part of the GUI, and subsequently the BI would flash on and immediately drop out. Several attempts to load failed so I reinstalled the program only to witness the same...

Single camera fails to view as 2MP in Maximized Mode

Yeah. Good idea. tried now and went fresh, with no clones etc. The substream address seems right as i can feed the sub as the main and the record quality is reduced. Odd it doesn't maximize to full HD like the rest.

Single camera fails to view as 2MP in Maximized Mode

Running 5.2.7.12 with 6 IP and 6 Analog cams. Super low CPU usage of 6-10% using the second stream option. 5 of the 6 cams will enlarge and switch to full MP mode when selected. One cam will not follow suit. It will enlarge and remain as a low res live image. I have 2 of these cheap cams and...

Newbie Question: Hikvision Analog DVR & Cameras

I still use feeds from my DVR and record with BlueIris. I have 3 Analog PTZ's and an LPR that work seamlessly with the 5 regular IP cams all running through the BI. No need to throw the old analog out yet,. I would never hesitate to purchase BI software . You just must have a decent and...

I've recently gotten 2 of my Analog PTZ's running through a DVR and controlled by BI. A few things i have encountered and set up for best results are the following: Smooth panning requires Live Preview Rate @ 30 FPS In PTZ/Control the panning speed can be adjusted. My best results are at 5-6...

CPU is high after cloning 2 cameras.

So... I have the latest update. Is there a limit to how many clones of 1 specific camera? Should there be any increase at all in CPU usage once clones are added? I can clone sub 4.1MP camera and there is hardly an increase in CPU. When the Dahua 4.1 is cloned it really ramps up. 1 clone is ok...

SOLVED!! Using ONVIF device Manager I logged into the DVR and PTZ channel and found that the DVR was using Port 8080.
