this is the fix to my issue, thank you so much. revised diagram shows cameras not connected into PoE ports but instead the LAN side of the NVR (obviously there are other routers and switches involved but this is simplified)

From the LAN side of the NVR I cannot see any cameras plugged into the PoE ports with SADP Plugging a laptop into one of the PoE ports gives me no IP, the NVR seems to determine if the device connected is a camera and if its finds a HIK gives it a static IP. The LAN's network range is...

also; do these Hik NVR's allow adding cameras from "outside" its own network of PoE ports? eg: can I attach a Hik IPCam to an existing network, add the NVR and then add the existing camera to the NVR, traffic from the camera would go thru the NVR's LAN port rather than one of its dedicated PoE...

hi all attempted to update my grey market DS-2CD2332-I firmware - it never came back online. Is showing IP 192.0.0.64 in the SADP tool, the camera is appearing as DS-2CD-MinSystem with no WWW port (the others are showing port 80 and DS-2CD2332-I as normal) firmware source...

I think its possibly an issue with network shares. I've copied the file to the BI VMs desktop (10GB) and converted again to its desktop. Worked fine (700mb). Don't think this was BI's fault as the hosts storage pool is reporting full when it has 800gig free. So I'd hazard a guess that BI...

I've tried all output formats and it crashes BI every time! version 4.2.7.1 x64 on server 2012 r2.

Does todays BI update mean we can finally use the Hikvision hardware motion detection instead of blue iris? I tried unticking motion detection in BI, ticking the "notify surveillance center" in the camera settings but it didn't trigger a recording.

yep, done that - working a treat and frame rate is greatly increased.

shows as 0.8.3 - though the 0.9.0 read me is in the zip files. just overwrote the files once more, still showing 0.8.3... hotkeys are there and working.

downloaded and testing now. looks awesome. although I cannot seem to find the quality toggle, disabled/enabled the option but doesn't seem to be there.

thats a designed feature afaik, so that if any lag was to happen your camera wouldn't just keep panning/tilting.

screw Foscam op, go Hik. Been there, wasted money. Now on Hik's - phenomenal compared to Foscam rubbish.

Have a look at Hikvision. I own 2x Foscam (genuine) and 4x Hikvision. The latter make the former look like a steaming pile of ... yes you know.
