Well that's concerning, I have just signed up and whilst the human detection has been spot on I don't get the daily email and the web portal is completely broken for me, have to flick between pet detection and vehicle detection to show any images, plus those sub categories don't work either...
I was just reading the API document and found that this camera allows control over its absolute position, which means you can craft a URL to select horizontal degrees between 0 and 360, vertical between 0 and 90 and zoom multiplier.
For example...
Seems a guy and two girls were sitting on my driveway and a short time later a roving gang of thugs decided to throw punches. That light is from the police helicopter above.
I totally agree and that's how I have my network secured and TBH it's a pain in the backside but since this system is used by an elderly couple adding the extra VPN step would be a big ask and a tech support nightmare. Plus I think I would have to change out their router as it doesn't support...
I have a OEM'd dahua system that I support, I wish the security researcher would release his POC so I can test against my system and if vulnerable lean on the OEM for an update.
I have two DS18B20 sensors hooked up to a Fibaro universal binary sensor to monitor my solar hot water system with a max of 4. One does ambient temp and the other does the temp right at the thermostat. You can adjust how often it sends temperature. Only draw back is, it's not battery friendly. I...
I use Fibaro, I found that they had a little more polish on their firmware than the Aeon labs. For example I have window roller shutters and tried the Aeotec tubular motor controller, whilst it did work it would leave power connected to either the up or down winding through the shutter limit...
And a lot of the apps out there don't support VPN/Stunnel natively in the app nor do they demand dial the a VPN configured in the OS itself, hell I'd settle for SSH connection with Cert Auth and port tunneling. I haven't tried all the apps in the app store but the ones I have tried don't support...
Dahua Backdoor Uncovered
A major cyber security vulnerability across many Dahua products has been discovered by an independent researcher, reported on IPVM, verified by IPVM and confirmed by Dahua.
Upgrade Immediately
A 'number' of Dahua HDCVI and IP cameras and recorders are impacted, says...
A few things, make sure it is IE you're using not Microsoft Edge, apparently it's a different browser all together. And secondly make double sure you are using POE+, I thought I was, but turns out it was standard POE and the camera sort of worked and took 4 mins before it would respond to pings.
It does have a little bit of blue locktite on the threads, but it should remove easy enough. If you do get it open watch out for the gasket in there, mine seemed a little too large for the groove it was sitting in, had to make sure it was in as best it could. I did have a few rounded screws on...
I honestly thought the TPLink I was running it off was 802.3at, guess I was wrong. I did see your post via email and it gave me an idea. I'm checking ebay for passive splitters. I can use the plugpack/splitter at the BI server and just use the splitter on the camera. Don't need an 802.3at...
Figured it out, I needed an 802.3at POE injector not an 802.3af that I currently have. It's interesting that it powered on at all. Everything booted normally when I used a power pack and enabled portfast on the Cisco switch. Now the next challenge is finding a POE+ switch or injector in the next...
Just using its web page. I have a ping running on the command prompt and if I power cycle it or press the restart PTZ button it takes the 4 minutes to start. I checked my switch for an ARP entry and there is nothing until the camera has fully booted.
Anyone elses camera take 4 and a half minutes to finally start responding to pings and become operational? It also makes this horrid whining sound from the stepper motors, it's like they're not being driven correctly
