Don't laugh. It's a Nest outdoor camera driven by a Verizon Jet Pack. It's aimed at our farm tool sheds. We're eight miles from town and are in the process of getting wifi installed so we can have a better setup. Got this guy on a Sunday night before midnight. Sheriffs got there in less than twenty minutes. Push notification to my phone woke me up. I opened up my phone app and saw him trying to get into our buildings.

This is a very low tech system. Basically just notifies you in the event of motion or person recognized. As soon as he walked into the area I was notified on my phone. I called the sheriffs. Our ranch is at the dead end of a five mile road. By the time he saw the headlights it was too late to get away. He tried to hide in a equipment yard but the dog hunted him down. I will never get a good facial recognition from this setup but at least I can get law enforcement there quickly to limit or stop them from burglarizing.
I'm putting in a wifi unit in two weeks and will be asking for advice on what cameras and system to use. I had a guy out to look at our place and he uses Geovision. I asked on here about that system. It got no replies.

Geovision isn't exactly common with the DIY IP crowd which is most of who is on here.

Im going to need a very user friendly software or program. I'll need to have my key farm people have the app on their phone also.

Don't use GeoVision, put in a nice HikVision or Dahua system. We have customers all over the country and when we come across an expensive Geovision or Avigilon systems, we pull them out and replace them. They are not user friendly, unless you are used to installing and servicing these systems. HikVision or Dahua setups are going to be way less and offer you more usefull features that you can use on your phone app.

I already purchased the Hikvision cameras for this project. We're going to have to install a wifi. The wifi installer also does camera systems and uses Geovision and Axis. He is cool only installing the wifi and letting me install my own cameras.
So if I install the Hikvision cameras what software would you recommend? I need push notification alerts. Is the P2P program good for what I need. Or what about Blue Iris?

Buy a HikVision nvr or a a dahua Nvr. The push notifications work nice with the mobile apps. Try to stay away from license fees from dealers. You want a system that you can learn yourself and not depend on someone else, that you are going to have to pay, to come in and change configurations or buy licenses from.
