    Need Help With Network Failures

Thanks for your good suggestion. First, my apologies for not returning to describe the final answer. The failure was a combination of two things, a faulty connector that worked sometimes, but not always, so the connector was replaced. The second issue was indeed the POE supply which was low...

    Need Help With Network Failures

Hey Revo - I checked and tested the good list you put together and still have the same issues....sort of. When checking the ethernet cables and connections, I noticed that the connectors for each of the two switches seem a bit loose in the 16 port switch the connect to . I unplugged both and...

    Need Help With Network Failures

@Revo2Maxx Good observation. Here again I failed to include all the details. I have other cams plugged into the 16 port switch which are powered directly, not by POE. Seems it's just the POE cams that fail? The cables are quality stuff, not CCA. Initially I suspected a bad cable when only one...

    Need Help With Network Failures

@TonyR Thanks for asking - good questions I should have explained in my post and diagram. The 'arrows' indicate WIFI connections. The BI server is connected to the 16 port switch.

    Need Help With Network Failures

Edit to add: the lan connections from the 4 port switches to the 16 port switch do not light up at all?? I have an 11 camera setup using Blue Iris but recently 5 of the cameras have stopped communicating over the LAN. The only thing in common is that the five cameras use TP-Link POE switches (3...

    What happened to my clips?

Hey 8trek, first let me apologize for not following through by returning to my own thread to explain what I ultimately found to be the issue with my system (after weeks of trying to figure it out). I did almost all of the same things you did to figure it out. My first thought was maybe a...

    What happened to my clips?

Sadly I didn't, still working on the issue but I'm grateful for your help. For all of the years I've had BI, I'm still discovering all of the hidden features.

    What happened to my clips?

Yes I am looking at the 'all clips' view. I haven't looked at the canceled alerts list (didn't know there was such a thing. I'll go have a look, thanks for the tip!

    What happened to my clips?

I have eight cameras and all have worked well for a long time, until yesterday when I noticed that clips are disappearing in the left 'clips column view (set to 'all clips') , but for for just two of the eight cameras. For example, if I manually trigger either of the two cameras, a clip view...

Need Help Using the Remote Access Wizard

I'm trying to access BI remotely over the WAN, which I have done before but it's been a long time. I'm using NO-IP for a WAN address, which seems okay. Going through the remote access wizard in BI, all of the pages are successful (getting a green checkmark), except for the last one which...

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

Yesterday I subscribed and paid for another year of the "maintenance plan". Somewhere during the process it notes it could take 24 hours? My past experience has been more like 10 minutes to get the key emailed to me. Just wondering if anyone that has recently renewed has a similar wait time...

Can't Connect to Jennov Mini PTZ Via IP

It's been awhile, but I vaguely recall I let BI "search/inspect" for the camera which worked by providing these settings: Make: Generic/ONVIF Model: *RTSP H.264/H.265/MJPG/MPEG4 Media/videoRTSP port = 554 Discovery/ONVIF port = 80 Let me know if you need more info and good luck.

    BI5 no longer recording clips

I have (or had) this same issue when updating to v5.6.1.3, the current stable version. Just now found this thread via a search and did the prescribed repair/regenerate action and problem solved. I'd concur with nowandthen, seems to be a strong correlation between the new version and the...

    FIXED - SD49225T Failure - Am I missing Something?

After digging deeper I found the camera works fine, it was the power supply. I was using a 12vdc, 2amp "Alitov" ac/dc adapter which has worked for several years or more. When the camera stopped working, it was the first thing I checked and it measured a little over 12vdc. The problem is, I...

    FIXED - SD49225T Failure - Am I missing Something?

Yes, I've checked the connection at the camera. I put a little grease on the male plug and wrapped in in coax seal then wrapped it again with good electrical tape. After pulling all that off, the connector/connection looks like new. Re-seating it makes no difference (I was hoping the camera...

    FIXED - SD49225T Failure - Am I missing Something?

I have a Dahua OEM PTZ IP Camera SD49225T-Hn which is just over a year old and it has suddenly failed. When it went out, it just quit and Blue Iris shows a blank screen with "No Signal". I've checked that it does have power and the CAT5 connection is clean, but still nothing after cycling...

    Help With "Choppy" Audio

Problem solved. I found some software named "client plus" by the camera maker. I installed it on my BI PC and the audio is fine now (presuming it installed a DLL or some such thing?). I am grateful for your time and help gentleman. Shawn

    Help With "Choppy" Audio

Thanks for making the time to reply. Six of my eight cams are via cat6, only two are wifi. The thing is, the audio from the subject camera is great using just a browser or the manufacturers app. The bad audio is isolated to BI and only BI. I had previously unplugged the other wifi cam before I...

    Help With "Choppy" Audio

Yes, the recorded audio sounds just the same. Thanks for thinking about trying an earlier rev to BI, hadn't thought of that. Sadly it didn't correct the audio either. Very much appreciated!

    Help With "Choppy" Audio

Hard as I may try I cannot resolve an issue with choppy audio from one camera. I've searched the forum and also came up empty handed. I'm using an SV3C model SD7 wireless PTZ. When viewing/listening via BI, the audio is a worthless "chop chop chop" sound. But when I connect to the camera using...

Negative, the other cam had full optical zoom.

Can't Connect to Jennov Mini PTZ Via IP

You're right of course, I bought cheap and got cheap.I replaced another camera with this Jennov. The prior cam was advertised as 4X zoom and the Jennov was advertised as 5X zoom. The prior camera zoom was about 400% at full zoom. The Jennov is about 125% at full zoom. Live and learn.

Can't Connect to Jennov Mini PTZ Via IP

Yes, exaggeration is a good word. The camera I just removed had "4X" zoom which effectively was about 10 times more zoom than the Jennov I can access all my other IP cams in IE, this one is somehow different

Can't Connect to Jennov Mini PTZ Via IP

Yes, it's working in BI but I can't access the camera directly to change settings (also can't get any audio out of it and the zoom isn't 5X as advertised). Can you access yours via a browser?
