Yeah, mine started working again today!

Managed to do this with a Raspberry Pi, Node-Red, the Hikvision Ultimate Alarm and Pushover nodes. Notifications now come through to my iOS device 1-2 seconds after Alarm IO activation. Futher tuning needed in terms of message content and maybe a shapshot image, but it’s just fine tuning now...

Ooooh, after a bit of tinkering I think I might have fixed that with the trigger node. This node-red is awesome. Super interesting. Have a good weekend all - i'm gonna crack a beer open! :p

Yeah, the method i'm using currently is just via the email gateway, hence the slight delay. If it was possible to use the API method I think notifications would be instant, but the reality is i'm out of my depth with that unless there's someone that could at least point me the right direction...

Hi, i’ve started using an app called Pushover that sends push notifications to my iPhone. It’s not perfect, but it pushes me notifications within about 30 seconds of motion detection, which is better than nothing while I try and find a quicker solution. They do a 30-day free trial.

Hi Valiant! These particular cameras are not powered via POE. I had a power cut and everything but my network switch was backed up at the time, so I basically lost the network connection to all the devices that were connected to that switch. I've resolved that now, but it did get me thinking...

I tried event triggered snapshots today which recorded to SD card while the network is disconnected, why the hell won't it record video to SD in the same scenario? Does anyone have any ideas? It's driving me round the bend!

I definitely haven't noticed any loss of functionality after upgrading, but I don't use the built in motion detection features (I use separate PIR sensors), so I can't comment on those aspects either. Surely, from a security standpoint the latest FW should be better though?

That is amazing, and for me the dream scenario! I honestly don't think I have the bottle to try it though. May I ask, can the camera stay in its mounted position in order to carry out these procedures, or does it have to be taken down and directly connected to a PC for instance?
