No push notfications, IVMS 4500 Lite on iOS and Hikvsion single ColorVue Turret Poe camera

Managed to do this with a Raspberry Pi, Node-Red, the Hikvision Ultimate Alarm and Pushover nodes. Notifications now come through to my iOS device 1-2 seconds after Alarm IO activation. Futher tuning needed in terms of message content and maybe a shapshot image, but it’s just fine tuning now...

Push notifications from IP camera's IO by any means possible?

Ooooh, after a bit of tinkering I think I might have fixed that with the trigger node. This node-red is awesome. Super interesting. Have a good weekend all - i'm gonna crack a beer open! :p

Push notifications from IP camera's IO by any means possible?

Right, here's where i'm at: I could not get HikConnect to work with notifications, even with using their connection method - so eventually ditched that. Then, I created an account on Pushover.net and installed their app on my iPhone. This enabled me to receive push notifications to my iOS...

No push notfications, IVMS 4500 Lite on iOS and Hikvsion single ColorVue Turret Poe camera

Yeah, the method i'm using currently is just via the email gateway, hence the slight delay. If it was possible to use the API method I think notifications would be instant, but the reality is i'm out of my depth with that unless there's someone that could at least point me the right direction...

No push notfications, IVMS 4500 Lite on iOS and Hikvsion single ColorVue Turret Poe camera

Hi, i’ve started using an app called Pushover that sends push notifications to my iPhone. It’s not perfect, but it pushes me notifications within about 30 seconds of motion detection, which is better than nothing while I try and find a quicker solution. They do a 30-day free trial.

Push notifications from IP camera's IO by any means possible?

Thanks so much everybody for your replies. :) I will look further in to all your suggestions. I do have a Raspberry Pi knocking about, so that could be in interesting little project. in the short term I will look again at Hik-Connect using their method of connection, rather than IP/Domain. In...

Push notifications from IP camera's IO by any means possible?

Hi all, This is my last desperate post on this subject. If anyone has a solution for me to receive push notifications from my IP camera's Alarm IO (external PIR sensor) to my iOS device by any means possible (or even to an Android device for that matter - because will buy one if necessary)...

    Push notifications just stopped

Hi Dimo! Can you confirm your iVMS-4500 push notifications are still working? It's been about 2 months since mine worked on iOS/iPhone, but if they are working on Android still, I think I'll go out and buy an Android phone specifically for this feature. I've tried the Hik-Connect app, but...

HikConnect/IR sensor issue with HikVision 2142

Hi Björn! I realise a few years have passed us by, but did you ever resolve this problem? I've been trying to get notifications to work from my external PIR connected to I/O Alarm Input in Hik-Connect, but I can't get it to work. Did you ever find any workarounds? Cheers, Terry...

    iVMS-4500 Android no push notifications?

Hi, Chicago_2! Did you manage to get this working? I know push notifications no longer work iVMS-4500 on iOS devices, but I wondered if they are still working ok on Android? Cheers.

No push notfications, IVMS 4500 Lite on iOS and Hikvsion single ColorVue Turret Poe camera

Hi all, I need my push notifications urgently, so I'm thinking of purchasing a cheap Android phone as an interim measure. Can anyone confirm that iVMS-4500 alarm notifications still work on Android before I do that? Thanks in advance if anyone can help. :)

Recording to SD when network disconnected

Hi Valiant! These particular cameras are not powered via POE. I had a power cut and everything but my network switch was backed up at the time, so I basically lost the network connection to all the devices that were connected to that switch. I've resolved that now, but it did get me thinking...

Recording to SD when network disconnected

I tried event triggered snapshots today which recorded to SD card while the network is disconnected, why the hell won't it record video to SD in the same scenario? Does anyone have any ideas? It's driving me round the bend!

Recording to SD when network disconnected

Hi, I had a network down incident yesterday. One of my cameras continued to record events to it's SD card (2CD2135F-I) which was great, and exactly what I wanted. The other camera (2CD2732F-IS) which is configured for continuos record failed to record anything to it's SD card for the 20 or so...

Both AC power & POE for redundency

Hi Valiant! Both cameras have SD cards installed that I'm assuming can be configured to record locally in a 'network down' incident like the one you describe. (both are now running quite recent FW v5.2.5, so I assume/hope this is possible?). I'm not concerned about the NW cable being cut to one...

Both AC power & POE for redundency

Hi Camit. In all fairness you don't know my situation. I have two cars that are parked in the basement of a residential building that is monitored by 2 cameras. Only a handful of people have access via an electronic key fob. This is a bad neighbour problem that has been going on for years...

Both AC power & POE for redundency

Hi Tangent. Yeah, I had the POE switch on an APC UPS but it blew up over Christmas, and then I thought that it was kinda stupid to run my cameras and other devices from a UPS which was converting 230v AC power to 24v to then convert back to 230v in the case of a power cut just to supply multiple...

Both AC power & POE for redundency

Hi everyone. Anyone know if it's possible to supply power to Hikvision IP cameras via both POE and AC adapter simultaneously? I have 2 cameras that I would like to do this with, one is a 2CD2732F, and the other a 2CD2135F. This is purely for redundancy as I have someone that seems to be eyeing...

5.4.5 what works and what doesn't?

I definitely haven't noticed any loss of functionality after upgrading, but I don't use the built in motion detection features (I use separate PIR sensors), so I can't comment on those aspects either. Surely, from a security standpoint the latest FW should be better though?

SMTP or SSL Email Notification Provider Solution? circa 5.3.3 5.2.5

Well, I am a very happy bunny! With no small thanks to alastairstevenson (who was so helpful and tolerant of my limited technical skills), I am chuffed to say that - after making some slight changes to my mtdblock6 file - I have now been able to upgrade my Chinese 2732 from F/W 5.2.5 right up to...

I strongly advise you to speak to this guy - he's so amazingly helpful, and has a 100% strike rate, so far. Speak soon. I'm off to crack a beer open! Have a great weekend! Terry...

Tim, I'm on F/W v5.4.5!!! I did that mtdblock6 jiggery pokery (yes, you can tell i'm not very technical...haha!) with Alastair, and it worked! I had to take a leap of faith, as this particular camera is my most critical, and I didn't even have a Windows PC to run the Hikvision tools if it had've...

Hey Tim. I haven't been able to get this to work for some reason. I keep getting a message in the camera GUI when I try an e-mail test telling me that the username and password is incorrect. I have tried setting up two separate Yandex accounts and I get the same problem. I can log on to them...

SMTP or SSL Email Notification Provider Solution? circa 5.3.3 5.2.5

It's probably my most critical camera, to be honest... but I could risk some limited downtime. In terms of a Windows PC, I don't have one. I use a Macbook. The camera is connected to a NAS though, if that's preferred? What's the worst that could happen? Could any part of this process cause...

SMTP or SSL Email Notification Provider Solution? circa 5.3.3 5.2.5

Hi Alistair! I'm already on 5.2.5; does this make it easier? ...and does the particular camera model (in my case DS-2CD2732F-IS) make any kind of difference?

SMTP or SSL Email Notification Provider Solution? circa 5.3.3 5.2.5

That is amazing, and for me the dream scenario! I honestly don't think I have the bottle to try it though. May I ask, can the camera stay in its mounted position in order to carry out these procedures, or does it have to be taken down and directly connected to a PC for instance?
