Recommended Hikvision Driveway Camera (4MP or 8MP, ColurVue or Accusense G2?)

Is there a turret equivalent with the same features?

Recommended Hikvision Driveway Camera (4MP or 8MP, ColurVue or Accusense G2?)

I currently have an outdated Hikvision DS-2CD2532F-IS 3MP Mini Dome with 4mm lens, but it really sucks at night. The street light glares off the mini dome and all detail is lost. My turret in the backyard is much better. I know there is the ColorVue vs Accusense G2 options, and the 4MP vs 8MP...

    Hikvision DS-2CD1141-I

I can't find this model on the Hikvision website. That is why I assumed it was not U.S. region. TechDiver Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Hikvision DS-2CD1141-I

I tried searching this site, but I didn't find any information on the Hikvision DS-2CD1141-I. The feature list is below. Does anyone have any additional information on this camera? Is it a China region camera? Features: 1/3" progressive scan CMOS Up to 4.0...

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2 (DS-7608NI-I2 or DS-7616NI-I2) H265/4K/12MP

I am surprised that these NVRs aren't more prevalent. What are the cheapest prices you guys have found for a 7608NI-I2 that can take USA firmware updates?

Huisun IP PTZ Camera, with Hikvision Protocols

Does this work with the Android IVMS-4500 app? I use that to view my current cams and would like to stick with the one app with PTZ functions if possible.

Huisun IP PTZ Camera, with Hikvision Protocols

Is this model still the best bang for the buck PTZ for home users?

    New Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2

I haven't bought an NVR yet. Since you have had some time with this unit, what you think about the 7608NI-I2? Thanks

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2 (DS-7608NI-I2 or DS-7616NI-I2) H265/4K/12MP

This item was spotted September of last year and it still hasn't really become readily available. Is tech slow to roll out on these or is it just not going to come to the US market?

Network Planning and Design for IP Cams

Are you using OpenVPN? Yeah, the non-pro Ubiquiti units use the low voltage 24 V PoE. At our office we are using the Pro versions which are 802.3af/at compliant, so we power them with a Cisco Catalyst 3750X PoE+ 48 port switch. Thanks for the info. I will check into some used gear.

Network Planning and Design for IP Cams

Nice, I didn't invest in managed switches for the house. Simply replacing an over worked linksys router which will serve as a temporary access point. Going with a Ubiquity AC ap in the house and one out in my shop to cover the back yard. I really like the Ubiquity line. I have installed...

Network Planning and Design for IP Cams

I have just gotten an EdgeRouter Lite wired router to beef up my home network. I currently have an 8 port Gigabit switch with 4 PoE ports. I will probably go with a NVR unit in my wiring closet. I could setup a dedicated port / subnet on the router for the Camera Network and put my regular...

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2 (DS-7608NI-I2 or DS-7616NI-I2) H265/4K/12MP

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2 (DS-7608NI-I2 or DS-7616NI-I2) H265/4K/12MP

If I already have a PoE switch, then there probably isn't any benefit to buying the NVR with PoE right?

    New Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2

Can you put this device in a wiring closet and connect with client software? If this is possible, does it lose some functionality? I was originally going to run VMS on my PC, but it is too old to do that. I am now trying to decide what route I want to take. Thanks.

    IP Cam to replace DropCam

After looking over the cube, I think I may go with that. I see it can be mounted as well if I decide to do that. I am interested in the 2 way feature of this one. It also looks like the PIR is something not found in many other cameras. Thanks for the information.

    IP Cam to replace DropCam

I plan to box up the Dropcam and sell it. I may be able to get my $50 back out of it. I do have a spot on a shelf for the cube if that would work out best. Would you go with the DS-2CD2432F-IW 3MP or one of the dome cameras mounted to the ceiling? I have low 8 ft ceilings.

    IP Cam to replace DropCam

I bought a Dropcam in November on clearance for $50. It updated to the new Nest firmware and all, but I was just using it to see if my wife would be interested in a camera system. She is hooked on it now and loves to check in on the kids. It has a 130 degree view which covers all entrances to...

    Hello from TN

I work in IT and I'm just starting to research IP cameras. I may start off messing around with XprotectGo and Blue Iris on a PC I already have. There are so many choices out there. I think I have decided on the dome style or the turret. I have also noticed the many positive reviews on...
