Urgent: how to let motion detecting event ring alarm on phone

Last few days there has been a lot of supsicious activity in the street: looks like people "scouting" houses, cars etc. Police is informed (by multiple inhabitants). This has been recorded by 2 Andy/Dahua cams, which are connected to a Synology NAS running Surveillance Station. Motion detection...

    Privacy mask rectangular vs. free-form

Tried Internet Explorer, didn't make a difference. As @wittaj always says: don't fix it if it ain't broken. I've been very happy with the performacce of the ASE, so didn't feel the need to update. Will see how the ZE performs.

    Privacy mask rectangular vs. free-form

They are both from Andy. :) I'm pretty sure that the ZE has the firmware from Andy on there (it is the famous december 2020 build), but how about the the ASE? Is that also Andy firmware or is that generic Dahua firmware?

    Privacy mask rectangular vs. free-form

I've just installed my new IPC-T5442T-ZE, and now dialing it in. I already have a IPC-T5442TM-ASE. I notice th the method of adding a privacy mask is different. IPC-T5442TM-ASE: I can draw each shape or form I like. Installed firmware (from factory, didn't update): V2.820.0000000.0.R, Build...

    Enabling IVS changes lighting parameters

I've checked and tried. Indeed shutter and gain were changed, but putting them back doesn't give me the same image. Some other parameter, which I can't find, is changed as well.

    Enabling IVS changes lighting parameters

When setting IVS, and thereafter looking at the parameters they appear to be similar. Nothing seems to be changed. However, changing them (and putting them back to the old values after that) doesn't bring the image back to the old state (before IVS). Do you mean you should find new appropriate...

    Enabling IVS changes lighting parameters

I'm using a 5442 from Andy. I've been pretty satisfied with the performace of the smart motion detection. Today, for fun, I tried the IVS and set some tripwires and an intrusion box. This evening I noticed that my image quality wasn't as what is used to be. I'm using custom settings (shutter...

Pink tint, don't think it's IR filter

This evening, a little after sundown, I noticed the same pink tint on the image. When looking out of the window the sky itself was pinkish as well. I took a photo with my phone, and guess what, same tint could be seen. Few minutes later when the tint couldn't be seen on the 5442 anymore it also...

Pink tint, don't think it's IR filter

Camera is only 2 months old... What do you think is causing this? I'm pretty sure it isn't the IR filter being stuck as 1) image before and after is normal and 2) pink tint gradually increases and decreases.

Is this a stuck IR filter problem

Did the pink tint gradually increase? So from normal colors to pink tint in a few seconds/minutes? Are was it there suddenly? Can you hear any clicking from the IR filter before or after?

Pink tint, don't think it's IR filter

Here you go. Applied a small crop and blacked few things out. And here normal image this morning as reference: Was yours pink the entire day? Mine only two times during the day, for a few minutes length each time. Quite sure it wasn't a stuck IR filter as I heard it switching in the...

Pink tint, don't think it's IR filter

Forgot to mention it's a 5442ASE. Didn't do it this morning. Could indeed be this purple fringing! Using H265.

Pink tint, don't think it's IR filter

I've read that thread, but that looked more like a stuck IR filter. Mine only showed the tint two times during the day for a few minutes. Rest of the day was fine. Pretty sure mine filter isn't stuck as you can hear it clicking. I was thinking of maybe a white balance issue?

Pink tint, don't think it's IR filter

Today I noticed something strange. This morning, a few minutes after the camera switched from B&W to color (with an audible click) the image gradually turned pinkish. Before and after the image looked normal. Same thing happened this evening 20 minutes before the camera switched to B&W again...

Advice needed on focal length for 5442

What do you guys think would be optimal height for camera positioning? I was thinking around 2.4 meter, which is about the same height as the one above the driveway. However, the pole itself is around 3 meter so I could go higher with the camera, also making it harder for bystanders to get to it.

    Day/night functionality changed during operation?

I've read about that, but I'm quite sure it was working 100%. Because I could make changes in the night profile and would see them take effect during the night, but not during the day. I've seen another recent post mentioning that this works like this from @looney2ns : IPC-T5442T-ZE Day/night...

    Day/night functionality changed during operation?

I've got an IPC-T5442T-AS installed with a floodlight (motion triggered) 1.5m next to it. I've been running day/night as profile management. The first few weeks after installation, when the floodlight switched on during the night, the profile would switch from night to day (so from black/white...

Help with Dahua 5442 night settings - share your settings?

I've read that after setting the gain you should set the NR. As this (obviously) reduces noise and thus possibly also reduces the effects of a gain which is too high, how do you set both parameters right? Do you first set the gain with a fixed NR, and secondly the NR?

Help with Dahua 5442 night settings - share your settings?

How/when would I notice the gain being too high? I own a 5442, have now set it to 70 and don't really see much bad effects... What would be the maximum gain for a 5442?

Advice needed on focal length for 5442

That's a nice idea! However, you're not allowed to capture the public road without a reason here, so I was planning on filming as less as possible of the public road. Therefore headlights won't be a problem. Still in doubt, I'd prefer a fixed focal length camera because of the light sensitivity...

Advice needed on focal length for 5442

It would be really hard getting network at that location. Besides that, I would still miss everything happening on the small piece of public road in front of my garden because of the big tree blocking the view. Therefore I figured that this pole over there would give me better possibilities...

Advice needed on focal length for 5442

Dear all, Already got an IPC-T5442T-ASE 2.8mm as an overview camera for watching my driveway and the cars. It's a great camera. I'd like to buy another one, so I can also guard my frontdoor and garden. Which makes it a little bit difficult is the fact that the public road is right in front...

EmpireTech 6 Years Anniversay, New Office New Start

Congratulations Andy! The more I read on here from and about you, as well as because of the the good communication, it makes me enthusiastic and makes me want to buy more cameras although I don't necessarily need them.
