IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

In case anyone decides to downgrade from the latest to an older firmware. Tried going back to V2.820.15OG004.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-29 because I encountered some additional issues with the latest firmware that I couldn't resolve even with multiple factory resets. After downgrading, 5442 went...

Just some local thieves spooked by motion sensor light

Pretty dark. One not very bright street lamp roughly 40 feet away is the closest source of light. The motion sensor light is 30W LED if I remember correctly. Here are the settings for the 5442. Lot's of gain.

Just some local thieves spooked by motion sensor light

It's interesting how oblivious they are to the cameras, but start running as soon as light turns on. I know camera position and lightning are not the greatest. The color IPC is IPC-T5442T-ZE the BW is IPC-HDW3541T-ZAS.

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

Anyone on latest firmware encountered a behavior where there's no indication of any events recorded on camera internal storage? Screenshots below. As you can see, no blue box on days where events happened on new firmware. Using different browsers makes no difference.

SMD records all night long / no IVS image preview

Could be related or the same issue I have on one of my cams on occasion. SMD event/motion triggers recording continuously (sometimes for hours) even though motion has long stopped. It usually takes another SMD event for cam to stop recording. I don't use NVR though.

T5442T-ZE disabling noise filter makes no difference problem

I guess manual reboot makes no difference? I would try a complete factory reset and if that doesn't help, maybe upgrade FW as the last resort.

T5442T-ZE disabling noise filter makes no difference problem

Works like it should on my end (disabled on all cams). By sounds no different you mean it still sounds muffled and distorted even with noise filter disabled?

One of my T5442T-ZEs started misbehaving

I will definitely try a factory reset first before I mess with FW version. For now I’m still trying to figure out if these events that trigger continuous recording have anything in common. It happened 3 times now in both night and day. The first time it happened I stopped the recording myself...

One of my T5442T-ZEs started misbehaving

Il’l try my best to explain what the issue is again. I have 3 IPCs (I don’t have NVR). All of them use SMD exclusively. They do exactly what I want and work exactly how I want. Occasional false alarm (cat) is not a problem AT ALL. One of this 3 cams started acting weird two weeks after...

One of my T5442T-ZEs started misbehaving

MD sensitivity settings are irrelevant if you enable SMD. SMD completely ignores those. As for alerts. Here's an example: you have IVS intrusion box setup at main house entrance. You have kids playing or someone working in front of the house. You get IVS intrusion push alerts from DMSS literally...

One of my T5442T-ZEs started misbehaving

I probably didn’t explain things very well. So like I said in my OP, I use SMD exclusively and it works great for me on other cams. It worked fine on this one too. It does exactly what I want with almost 0 false triggers. The only exception is an occasional cat but that’s a problem with IVS too...

One of my T5442T-ZEs started misbehaving

No I don’t have any IVS rules setup and IVS is not enabled. The reason I don’t use IVS is lack of anti dither which means notification spam (DMSS push) every couple of seconds. Also since I forgot to mention, I don’t have NVR. I only record internally on SD.

One of my T5442T-ZEs started misbehaving

One of my T5442T-ZEs (the other one on older FW is fine) started behaving in a really weird way the last couple of days (worked fine for around 2 weeks) and would be thankful for any input. First the FW version: MD and SMD settings: When it happened the first time I thought it was a...

    IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS latest new firmware General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.15OG004.0.R.201203

Same FW here and no log issues. Factory reset and maybe switch with another microSD card? As for P2P reenabling itself... for me it only happens after a reboot but not on every reboot. It was happening on previous FW too.

Trouble setting up Dahua smtp server

Tried turning on Less secure app access in google account security settings? Also try SSL instead of TLS. I think SSL port is 465 though.

DH-IPC-HDW3541T-ZAS slight pause/frame skip during Day/Night mode switch (SOLVED)

Yes. While WDR does help in high contrast situations I noticed it messes up image quality pretty significantly so I actually planed to disable it anyway.

DH-IPC-HDW3541T-ZAS slight pause/frame skip during Day/Night mode switch (SOLVED)

OK, I think I've figured out what is going on here. This only happens if you enable Day/Night auto switching profile. There is no issues when selecting Full Time or General profile. That's kind of a bummer since I like the Day/Night profile switching. EDIT: upon some further testing it seems...

You mean CPU in my PC? i7. Shouldn't really matter since this is not a playback issue.

DH-IPC-HDW3541T-ZAS slight pause/frame skip during Day/Night mode switch (SOLVED)

Tried and made no difference unfortunately. Tried different resolutions and codecs as well. Also tried switching between PAL (which is default) and NTSC modes.

DH-IPC-HDW3541T-ZAS slight pause/frame skip during Day/Night mode switch (SOLVED)

Both FPS and I frame interval are set at 30, but it behaves exactly the same at 15/30 and 30/60. Never used Dahua cams before this one so I figured this is just how (at least this model) behaves. Would be nice if someone has a similar model and could check if theirs behaves the same.

DH-IPC-HDW3541T-ZAS slight pause/frame skip during Day/Night mode switch (SOLVED)

I've noticed there's a slight pause both on live stream and recording every time camera switches between Day/Night modes. Is this normal behavior? I've made a short video. You can see around 1 second skip on mode switch.
