That's not the issue. The i-frame interval on most of them is the same as fps. Changing pre-record buffer to 10 seconds makes no difference either. -

Just upgraded from BI 4 to 5 a few days ago. My pre-record buffers for all 14 cameras have completely stopped working when using substreams. If I turn the substream off for a camera, the pre-record buffer starts working again. -

What sort of sucks is that this synchronization feature doesn't apply to alert Actions so I'm having to copy and paste programs and arguments for multiple alerts and then do it all over again for each camera. -

I just upgraded from BI 4 to 5. This won't work for me. I'm doing a ton of complicated zone tuning and need to copy profiles 1 to 3 and profiles 2 to 4 on EVERY one of my 14 cameras. -

So I'm really confused. I had my wife walk around hitting a bunch of cameras. The events piled up with the little orange icon for person detection with 78 to 90% confidence. The BI log is showing just over 200 ms but I'm assuming this is not DS's detection time or is it? I'm running 14 camera... -

Hikvision DS-2DF8236I-AEL Smart Tracking USA product
I have an extra Hikvision DS-2DF8236I-AEL that I'm replacing with the laser IR version. It is a USA product. It just passed it's 3 year mark so it is no longer under warranty. Dedicated graphics card for Deepstack or not?
I imagine that the substream is perfectly fine for identifying things like cars and people but that if deepstack was going to be accurate on faces or license plates you'd need the full res stream for that. -

Just picked this up on ebay for $710. USA product. I called Hikvision with the serial number and the 3 year warranty is good until mid 2022. Was used as a demo for just a few days so it's still essentially brand new... -

The last pull request was slightly over a year ago. https://github.com/openalpr/openalpr The product has not changed since so why would they keep updating it? Where is the evidence that they switched over to their own proprietary image recognition library? -

What do you base this one and where have they stated they are no longer using OpenCV? I was using OpenALPR locally hosted on their trial 2 years ago and it was 99% on plate recognition with low cpu usage. OpenCV takes the entire video stream and not just snapshots. -

14 cameras currently running. Everything was fine on BI4. CPU about 25%. Gigabit connection from PC to my Unifi switch. 75 mbps constant stream from all cameras. Nothing else being done on the PC. Tons of bandwidth unused. After upgrade, enabled substreams. CPU now 2% with substreams enabled on...- sorka

Now that we have Deepstack for things like object recognition, what about local license plate recognition? Any whispers of opencv/alpr integration or teaching deepstack how to track and read license plates? Perhaps deepstack for tracking a license plate extracting the actual plate image... -

I have BI5 running with 14 cameras currently. At 2% cpu using substreams for motion detection. The entire i7-8700 is sitting at 6% total cpu. I'm about to install Deepstack. With so much cpu headroom left on my PC, would I still benefit from a dedicated graphics card like a 1030 or P400? -

Less than 2% cpu usage with substreams....down from 25%
Upgraded from BI 4 to 5 today. I didn't even know about the substream thing. My motivation was Deepstack integration. But then I read the note about substreams. I have 14 cameras ranging from 2 to 5 MPs. I enabled and configured the substreams on each one and had BI rescan the ONVIF cameras and...
