    You're probably, though I suspect the Axon illuminators are a few notches above as I've spoken to Doug there (as others here have) and he's explained how they manufacture them and the conditions that they test them under. I'd sure like to find something cheaper, though.

    I'm running this camera with a capture point of 87 feet and about a 30 degree angle and while I get decent captures, I'm maxed out at the zoom the pixel per plate are less than recommended. At 110 feet I don't believe there would be enough zoom and that angle would be too extreme.

    Appreciate it wittaj, that was indeed the issue: the near light and far light couldn't together exceed 100, but I can set near light to zero and far light to 100. My capture point is right at 400 feet so my guess is I'll need to snag a 10 degree Axton illuminator, but I'll see how this works...

    I didn't format the card when I reset. It worked fine after and the card remained compatible after the factory reset.

    A couple of times that this happened I did a factory reset. Have you tried that yet? It's a pain, but because there aren't as many settings in this cam I found it to be less intrusive that factory resetting other Dahua cams.
