    Vertical black stripes on feed

I really appreciate you guys trying to help. Thank you. So the black lines dont appear in the live feed in the NVR. It shows up in the live feed in the browser when I log in using the camera's IP. It also shows up on the TV I have the live feed piped to using HDMI. This wasn't present at first...

What could be causing IR glare?

Thanks for the advice and helpful suggestions. It has been raining here but once it dries out, I'll take the lens off and see if the IR reflection is still present. I will also check the seal. I dont remember messing with this, I thought it was factory sealed and couldn't be removed easily...

What could be causing IR glare?

Mounted the IPC-HDBW5441f-AS- E2 2.8mm. I noticed I have some weird IR glare in the corner. There is no light on that side of the house, it is completely dark. Turn on illumination and there is glare. When I turn on illumination, there is significant IR glare. Anyone know why this is happening...

    Vertical black stripes on feed

Let me get to the house and I can but instead of the feed taking up the whole screen, there are vertical black bars on each side of the feed. I dont know if a picture will help much more but I can post one if there is something specific you are looking for. @wittaj, I didn't. I went back in...

    Vertical black stripes on feed

Got a Dahua IPC-T5842T-ZE varifocal turret. It was working fine, full screen then 2 vertical black bars appeared, one on each side of the picture. I read the vertical black lines appear when there is a aspect ratio problem but the picture was full screen with no black bars when I installed it...

    Can't find cameras

I am using NVR608-32-4KS2. I added a couple cameras to NVR, initialized, changed IP address and everything was working fine. I needed to delete couple cameras from the Added Devices list in the NVR and I was to re-add them in a specific order. Problem is, now I can't find the cameras. I tried...

    Review: Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5842E-ZE-S2 - 8MP / 4K Vari-Focal Bullet Cam

Thank you for doing these, they are always very useful. I may have missed it but what do you use to measure Lux? Also, what are your thoughts on the IPC-HFW5842E-ZE-S2 vs the IPC-HFW7842H-Z? The specs are almost identical, the 7842 is Wizmind 7 vs Wizmind 5, I couldn't find the diference...

Having trouble installing Boobie Cam on 137

I have PFA137 mounted under the eave and trying to attach the HDBW4231F-E2-M to it. First off, there are a sh*t ton of plugs (power, audio in, audio out, ethernet, and alarm wires) and the length of the cable is super long. I cut off the power adapter but might need audio in and out. Second...

    alarm wire from IPC-B5442E-Z4E

This seems a lot easier than buying a relay and connecting that up. So wiring would go something like this?

    alarm wire from IPC-B5442E-Z4E

Hey Jesse, thanks for the reply. Very helpful. I looked at this after your suggestion. software Interface looks pretty much the same between the camera and NVR. As afar as physical wiring, I assume I would not need a relay if using the NVR since it already has NO, COM, etc.

    alarm wire from IPC-B5442E-Z4E

According the Dahua, the camera provides 12V and 300mA. If I have a 300mA/12V siren, directly connecting to the camera should work, correct? Should I be connecting these wires to the NVR or wiring directly to the camera? It's a Dahua NVR NVR608-32-4KS2 and the camera is IPC-B5442E-Z4E

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

    mount help for two cameras

Got two cameras having trouble mounting. One is a bullet IPC-Color4K-X and the other is a mini-dome IPC-HDBW4231F-E2. I am trying to drop the IPC-Color4K-X down one foot from a horizontal ceiling. Problem is I dont think they make a ceiling mount for this particular camera. What would you...

    alarm wire from IPC-B5442E-Z4E

Couple questions about this guy. I have 5 skinny wires coming form the IPC-B5442E-Z4E. Where is the best place to find compatible devices that work with the Dahua cameras? I looked on the Dahua site but didn't see anything. I am looking for a siren and light, something that will generate sound...

    Gland size for CAT6

I dont follow, that adapter I posted is a 1/2 male to 3/4 female. Maybe I should create a new post instead of getting off topic, but I am trying to put a very small piece of liquid-tight between two mismatched junction boxes. Dahua makes the circular jbox 1/2" and the square jbox is 3/4". I was...

    Gland size for CAT6

Could I use this to get a 3/4 gland attached to a 1/2 opening? Any issues using PVC connector on metal junction box? Amazon.com Also, do I need to use plumbers tape on the glands that screw into the junction box to make them watertight?

That two cable connection coupler is exactly what I am looking for, thanks for posting that.

    Gland size for CAT6

Dude, you just saved the day, I had no idea these existed. Thank you!! Just ordered this, thank you for the recommendations bud, much appreciated!!

    Gland size for CAT6

Thanks sebastiontombs, but I dont think those will work either. CAT6 is ~6mm or 1/4" diameter. The problem with the glands is if it can fit the cable, then it is too small to screw into the junction box. If it can screw into the junction box, then it is too big to tighten down on an ethernet cable.

    Gland size for CAT6

I know this has been asked before but in the posts I could find, the OP was looking to attach conduit. Is there a gland that both fit Dahua junction boxes and tighten down only using CAT5/CAT6, without using conduit? The set I bought off Amazon and the only sets I can find will fit the Dahua...

Dual CAT6 gland for junction box

What kind of conduit do you use? Would you jam that duct seal into the gland after running the ethernet cables through, then tight down the endcap to squish down the putty? This will be running horizontally under an eave.

Dual CAT6 gland for junction box

It looks like they dont make a dual cat6 gland. How would you run two cat6 cables from a junction box opening? Both cables will have to come out of the same opening.

screw size for Dahua PFA137 junction box

Thanks Tony. Looks like the 137 has slightly different dimensions. Project on hold now. Just ordered the 137. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

screw size for Dahua PFA137 junction box

You are correct Tony, I just checked the box. I thought I ordered the PFA137, not sure why I ordered a PFA130. Is the difference between these two just the top plate?

screw size for Dahua PFA137 junction box

Thanks bud. I was just about to post. Yes, I am an idiot. I figured it out after playing with it for a little bit. You definitely have to remove the top plate for that to work.

screw size for Dahua PFA137 junction box

Read the spec on this but wanted to confirm with you guys, also had a couple questions. I need some that are longer than the ones in the package as the screws aren't long enough to secure the camera to the mount. I need 3/4" but not sure if the threads go down that far in the junction box...

    IVS scheduler

Man, this is one of the most helpful forums I have seen. Thank you guys. I thought I was configuring the actual camera settings using SmartPSS, I was not. Exactly what that guide wittaj linked said not to do. I used IE and went straight to the camera IP and it worked. btw, the guide says use...

    IVS scheduler

I bought the NVR608-32-4KS2 from Andy. I got everything working for the most part. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is the IVS Scheduler. No matter what I schedule, the audio alarm triggers once the tripwire is broken. Anyone know what might be the problem? I've tried google and...
