Got two cameras having trouble mounting.

One is a bullet IPC-Color4K-X and the other is a mini-dome IPC-HDBW4231F-E2.

  1. I am trying to drop the IPC-Color4K-X down one foot from a horizontal ceiling. Problem is I dont think they make a ceiling mount for this particular camera. What would you guys use to drop this 1' down from a ceiling?
  2. The other is the mini-dome and my eaves are too narrow to mount this correctly. I would prefer not to mount sideways on a wall as it will be in direct contact with the sun 80% of the day. Also, it would be directly facing the neighbors and would look like I am surveilling their house. The spacing in the eaves is about 4.5" and the diameter is ~5"

I would just block that area with a 1x6 wide enough for you to mount the camera on and narrow enough to fill that gap. You should then be able to mount the camera to that block.

I had to get creative on a soffit once and came up with this just so I could mount it due to a similar problem as yours. You are just looking to give a nice flat surface to be able to mount that camera to.
