I confirm the prob in BI (4499) (in the browser all is ok): The problem is not related with zoom, but it was a delayed and jerky video. It was 2 problems: BI buffer and HW acc. The jerky and delay was due to HW acceleration (Yes+VPP, Yes doesn't work): it seems it makes worse CPU usage and... -

Thank you, my version was old and lacks that... Ah, ok, so autofocus fails and you can't do manual focus: good!! ;) I tried a bit: it seems it's better to give a command for zoom (and it makes AF) and a second one for precise manual focus. At the moment it seems to work but I see it's not... -

I know it's not a PTZ, I only want to change the zoom some rare times and then put it back. Not a lot of (fast) movements at all. Ok, so they hasn't presets, is it possible to change the zoom with http in BI? Or should I rely only on that cgi code? As I said I'm not a lot interested in manual... -

1) So, I bought this cam, in BI I'm trying to use the Zoom/Focus commands and they work, but in some res/Mbit config they are so sloooow: it can wait upto 20s to update the pic! In the browser instead all is fast. I.e. @max Res 2592x @20fps 10240Mbit instead if I put down the res and the Mbit... -

Dahua Internal Microphone, any good?
In previous post you said you have hum, but also powering from battery? Because when I tried to power the mic from battery I got no hum, it was only the 12V ali power switching causing it. -

Try also to connect the metal case/the V- or gnd pin directly to Earth of mains power. Depending if ipcam is powered by POE or from a separate ali and if the power cable hasn't the GND connector, that connection to GND could also help. With a professional audio recording with a switching ali not... -

I haven't used it up to now, but with other equipment I found it better to use a linear power transformer instead of a switching: it could reduce a lot the hum. Maybe try this. -

Yes, that's another thing to keep in mind: tests needed. At worst I will have a lens at fixed good FOV for my particular needs... Any other bad thing about this model? Is the rest all good? I had a 4421R-AS before, but I don't need audio in this one. -

mmh, looking at a similar model (I think): It seems not that bad, it's quite 5s of time to max "zoom". Having not to change your lateral view, you keep looking the same angle, so you still continue seeing what happens. More, if I have a long distance courtyyard in that direction I could take a... -

No, it doesn't lit. Looking at this pic: he put +12 on wire blu on pin 6 and GND on blue/white on pin 3. Looking here: + should go on pins 1-2 and -(gnd) on pins 3 and 5. It seems it's fine apart the pin 6 +12V... but it seems unused on POE. But I thought it will be used instead...- frank10

My friend has 2 cat6 wires on a pole and wrongly connected 2 wires on 12V thinking it was the other cable, instead they went on the ethernet connection of the cam... Long story short, the Dahua 4421r-as ipcam doesn't power up anymore! Is there something could I try? I opened it but I don't see...- frank10
