    Has anyone used one of these USB switches for home automation. USB Switch They seem incredibly cheap. This one has Tasmota so could be run locally with no need for cloud services. Anyone tried them?

    Just logged into BI and I've got a database pip up saying drives offline. All my video is saved on my E drive a WD purple. I can't see the drive in Windows file manager either. Opened my optiplex and all connections look fine. The drive is warm.. Any advice please to help find the problem...

    First of all great addition of timeline in ui3. Absolutely brilliant. If your like me have your BI server hidden away in a rack with no direct interface the Ui3 interface is essential. Question: How can I define a time period within timeline and then export that defined clip. Many thanks

    Ah sorry. I forgot to answer that. The BI PC is connected direct to the router via ethernet. Very good point on traffic flow. I'll switch it out. I was just trying to save a PoE port. I block the cameras access to the internet via the router.

    I have a Dahua IPC-T5442T-ZE. It's connected via PoE. It's outside and fitted to the Dahua junction box and the ethernet connector is fitted via the waterproof connector that came with the camera.

    It's stuck in a loop. I have rebooted the host machine and it sits ok for a while then starts again. It's not a false notification I do actually lose signal. I have just backdated the BI version to the beginning of the year to see if it's a software issue.

    Many thanks for that. I have until now even even look at the cameras settings. I just plugged it in and used BI interface ever since. Just wondered if I need/ should leave it all at factory defaults or if you experienced guys have some tips or recommended changes.

    I have a Dahua T5442T-ZE running via blue IRIS I have been browsing the camera settings via the Dahua cam Web URL and under camera\video I see a setting for bit rate. It is set to 4096. There are other options upto 8192. Do I need to change this to the higher number or does blue iris manage...

    Hi I was trying to connect my cameras to my Vera network. I installed the blue iris Vera plugin but I was having trouble connecting due to a password requirement. So wanted to be able to modify the URL to include Auth credentials.
