Drives offline - help

Just logged into BI and I've got a database pip up saying drives offline.

All my video is saved on my E drive a WD purple. I can't see the drive in Windows file manager either.

Opened my optiplex and all connections look fine. The drive is warm..

Any advice please to help find the problem and fix it.

sounds like the drive is dead.... see if it pops up in disk management...if you have an external case/adapter you can test it there too..

It's not in disk management

I don't habe an adapter. Perhaps I should get one to confirm.

It's three years old this month. How long do WD Purples last normally.

There is no normal and there is much more to drive longevity statistics than just age. As with any hard drive it can last 20 years or 20 days....on average drives last well more than 3 years...WD has a 3 year warranty
