Could someone advise how it view directly images or videos via a URL in using entering username and password.

Do you want to connect to your camera directly bypassing BI? You should be able to to that on your network. If you have BI you can use UI3 which is a web application to view your cameras.

I was trying to connect my cameras to my Vera network. I installed the blue iris Vera plugin but I was having trouble connecting due to a password requirement. So wanted to be able to modify the URL to include Auth credentials.

You can eliminate the need for login/password based on IP address. I assume your Vera device is local. Bring up Blue Iris, select the Settings, select Web server tab, select the Advanced... button. Under limit access by IP address, enter in a ^ then the IP address, for example:

^192.168.1.130

This will allow the computer at 192.168.1.130 to access a specific camera without using a login/password..., for example, if your Blue Iris computer is at 192.168.1.20 and short camera name is FrontDoor:
