Effective light output per IR LED
Does anyone have a good feel for the light output per LED at some useful distance as it relates to camera shutter speed? I am not sure that LUX is a good measure at 850nm, as I expect that the camera is way more sensitive to 850nm than to visible light of the same lux rating (just a guess), but...- bug99

Starlight under $100 with micro SD
I do not use the IR on the mini-domes. i use LED white lighting for full color recording 24-7. The turret is a better choice for IR although it is substantially larger if that matters in the location. -

If it truly works on the DJI phantom 4, it will likely work on all normal drones. I can see the guy using it getting shot for aiming what looks like a military rifle into the air. That would be ironic. -

Excellent review! Thanks. One small note. the data sheet calls out 4mm as having 102 deg FOV, not 87 deg as the smaller sensors have. they claim that 6mm jumps all the way down to 64 deg. -

can you ping items on your local net (ie a camera) when outside the wifi range over ovpn (there are android apps for this)? I assume you tried to view the camera directly over ovpn as well as looking at the resource on the NVR and they both fail? -

@EMPIRETECANDY , the 131 deg FOV and even the 102 deg FOV do not make much sense to me, with too many wasted pixels, except right at the front door where 8mp seems way overkill. I would prefer 85 deg, but would be stuck with the 64 (6mm), which i guess is why varifocal is so popular. -
