    Need help configuring wireless Dahua

So I won a IPC-HDW1430DT-STW during Andy's last lottery and I have tried setting it up today. It has 2 different IPs for either cabled or wifi. The only method for me to connect to it is via cable. (Unless I factory reset it and connect to the "hotspot" the Cam itself provides. I have my...

Help: Ethernet Cables Not Working - Cat5e vs Swann Ethernet

A network cable consists of twisted pairs. They are twisted to avoid interference and crosstalk (noise). That is why it is important to follow a code such as 568b or 568a. It does not really matter which one you stick to, but I find that 568b is more common, and after terminating hundreds of...

Help: Ethernet Cables Not Working - Cat5e vs Swann Ethernet

The picture of your Swann cable looks to be "568B" just missing wire 4,5,7,8. Does the other end look the same? If not, this is a crossover cable. In that case, simply hook that up as an extension using a cat cable inline coupler.

HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF Intel Core i7 8th Gen

Use VLC player and just watch the RTSP stream directly from your camera. I had a problem with my video being choppy in blue iris, but to eliminate any network issues, I used VLC to confirm it was perfectly smooth

IPC-Color4K-T is switching to "day" profile even without a "Time Plan Setting"

@jasimo My bad, just logged into my 4K-T and couldn't find it either, so that only applies to the older "Dahua" cameras using the previous GUI. My schedule looks like this currently: (I am on a slightly older FW than yours; V3.120.0000000.14.R, Build Date: 2023-02-27 As you can see, all is...

IPC-Color4K-T is switching to "day" profile even without a "Time Plan Setting"

I have this exact camera and successfully controls day/night by API. I have never even tried to use the schedule. Make sure you go to "profile management" and set it to "full time" first. You should use Internet Explorer to do any changes in the cameras GUI.

    Blue Iris UI3

@actran Seems like your clue is spot on. When I tried with the most recent clip, it occurs. Trying with a clip from from yesterday it does not have the issue. Thanks.

    Blue Iris UI3

When i use UI3 to review footage, I often pause the video and use hotkeys , and . to skip frame by frame. Recently I have noticed that sometimes just after moving through a few frames (typically 3) the video will just skip 10 seconds forward. There is no obvious pattern when this happens, and it...

    AliExpress ONVIF Camera issue

0.1 or 0.05 or even 0 if that works for min and what it is for max. Ideally max should be 10 or 20ms but with cheaper cams like these that will result in a very dark picture in night conditions

    AliExpress ONVIF Camera issue

Your image is too bright, appears that the camera "lets too much light in" at daytime. If we assume that the automatic exposure setting you have are a range of milliseconds, that would equal approximate shutter speeds of 1/4000 to 1/15 (1000ms/4000=0.25ms and 1000ms/15=66,6ms) 1/4000 is too...

CodeProject.ai with License Plate Reader module - HowTo?

    LPR for speeds up 100kmh

I was searching the forum for this subject in case it had been answered earlier, and this thread was the most relevant I could find, so instead of starting a new thread I "hijacked" this... So @bigredfish , you think I would have to run 1/4000 shutter to capture cars/bikes going 100mph...

    LPR for speeds up 100kmh

How fast moving cars are you guys able to capture with 1/2000 shutter speed? I am currently planning my LPR install; The road where I live is sparsely populated, but it is a straight road with a 40kph speed limit due to it beeing a school road and several driveways entering straight into it...

CodeProject.ai with License Plate Reader module - HowTo?

Yeah, I have a 4K-T which uses the new GUI. The day/night commands are a little different but I am using them. Do you believe this cam with the new chipset will be as good for LPR as the old trusted 5241 z12e?

CodeProject.ai with License Plate Reader module - HowTo?

Is it so that the 5241-z12e has also gotten this new UI? :idk: No way to revert back to an older firmware to get rid of it? I am thinking of buying one of these cams myself for LPR purposes and after reading a number of threads here regarding the subject, I was thinking of setting it up using...

Still having false positives with IVS triggers

I have been running IVS on my 5442 for 5 months now and I have only had 2 false triggers that I can recall. Both were a magpie (bird) on my lawn that was mistaken for a human. I use a large intrusion box that covers nearly my whole view and tripwire zigzag across the whole view as well. Not very...

    IPC color4k-t video stuttering

Update: Today I replaced the CPU in my BI box with a used i7-6700 that I previously bought from an online marketplace for a few bucks. Same generation, of course same LGA 1151 socket, and support for the same motherboard chipset. It was a simple swap, I just had to enable hyperthreading in...

    Hidden in plain sight

This camera is inside my garage. My thought was that if somebody already broke into my garage I would have a better chance of a good capture if they did not notice it at first. Friendly visitors also seem to behave differently if they feel they are being monitored, LOL. It also varies where in...

Yes, hardware acceleration turned off. I believe you gave me that tip on my last attempt I also downloaded the latest graphics driver directly from Intel. This is so strange....
