Best Wireless IP Turret Camera
'Best' is obviously subjective here but i was looking to get a Turret camera with IR and I like the HIKVison ones but they dont do a wireless variant. Can i ask for views on which ones you would recommend and why?- sirius99

Ive got Smart motion turned on and all my email params are set correctly. Running Firmware V5.4.0 I can't see where to set the number of pictures it sends ... All i see are 3 pictures on the mail attachment but i'd like to send at least 6- I thought this below was where to set the number... -

Cant use PoE where my camera is so i have a 12v PSU and want to add in external mic / speaker combo which will need their own 12V supplies (or something different maybe) . So I've seen splitters the will split your 12v female into 2/3/4/5 female ends to share with multiple devices . Im assuming...- sirius99

Is it not in the linkage tab of the motion detection ? check all the relevant boxes - also make sure you are capturing video through the right periods.... -

As Zero says do that but i would stress to make sure you plug the camera directly into your PC/Laptop - I had a similar issue on another model and only that connectivity would let me activate the camera.. -

Why are we 'dissing the Dome camera's here? I would have thought the Turret camera would suffer from a range of spider like issues when outside and the lens would get rained on etc... whereas Dome wouldn't.... Im also thinking of putting a device on a wall as opposed to a ceiling type of... -

Mostly no to those... The camera is exhibiting some odd behaviour and it's dropped off the lan entirely and refuses to come back on.. suspect it has network issues TBH. -

it could well be out by 90 degrees on the base but i only did minor adjustments to it once mounted to 'level' the view across the driveway it looks onto so it would have been like that from the vendor. I tilted it a lot as it needed to look down more than out. But yes enough combinations it... -

Sorry ..didn't mean to confuse . There are 4 settings in the mirror setting Off / up and down / left and night / centre The dome is on a wall so has to be centre which does both up/down AND left/right ... Left right on it's own leaves the picture upside down .. up/down leaves the images the... -

Ah close .... That simply left it upside down :) it was Centre which flipped it both L-R And up/down I tried loads of combinations ... except that Now I just need it to be about 8 ft wider in its capture area... -

Got this the other day and spent a bit of time getting used to it. Im not use PoE but am using a seperate 12V power supply ... Installed it outside and went in to test it.... zero... If i browse to it it shows me some text that looks like a telnet login screen but it does nothing.. Pulled up...
