'Failed to get stream' on ivms4200, but live view in IE and recording works fine

IVMS-4200 is very stable the issues your getting are normally related to IP conflicts and basic setup issues. It's nothing major you have already proved that you cameras independently work, that's a good starting point. first check all network settings doing this one at a time with the other...

Why is Blue Iris better than an NVR...

cheap oneski maybe, regardless of system Wether using a PC or NVR don't buy cheap PC drives, there is only 2 drive designed for cctv's needs and only 1 that is worth using WD PURX 4tb or 6tb this is your life line to the heart of your system.

Why is Blue Iris better than an NVR...

As a professional installer I sit with different views to most diyers. True a PC with Blue iris has more functions, but it's just a PC and can't handle large systems to well great with 8 or so cameras but will fall over at 128 camera's, OS failures are all to common and system freezes. I will...

Custom Firmware Downgrader 5.3.0 Chinese to 5.2.5 English

don't connect direct to the PC always through a switch it responds better, but does sound like a camera I've been playing with but with camera connected to an NVR directly it 100% without issue, but on a LAN it would freeze and lockup in IVMS-4200. I found no real answer other than to use this...

    Don´t throw them away

The biggest issue is faulty IR ring of the Hikvision Camera's. I've yet to find a real compatible replacement and replacing the blow LEDS take a bit of time and effort to trace which ones have blown de-solder them and re-solder in new ones. You can cheat thought by fitting a £3 ebay ir Ring and...

Storage recommendation for large site (32 cameras)

Although I wound normally agree with @nayr if your going big 32+ cameras, Hikvision is your better option, but not with Chinese imports! Agreed that I would go for a non POE NVR and use a quality POE switch with 4+ 4tb WD Purple drives with RAID setup. If you want Local viewing at another...

iVMS-4500 outside LAN okay, inside LAN connection fail

sounds more like a router issue than anything else, if your set for local ip at Home and DDNS away. your Forwarding is working on away but home is not. I have a similar issue as I have multiple access points, but can only connect to my nvr from one access point and not via my router (vodafone)...
