Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It was audio driver related. Windows 10 automatically installed a driver which gave me no audio at all and caused the audio tab to crash Blue Iris. Downloading the audio driver from the motherboard manufacturers website fixed the audio playback but...

This is from my 4mm DS-2CD332-I, when I replace it I will probably get a 6mm. My porch looks like it might be double the size of yours so I think 4mm should be enough for you. Before you permanently mount your camera, just hold it up in both locations to see what you prefer.

I have the Hikvision DS-2CD2732F-IS and it is very difficult to focus as the adjustment knobs are very sensitive. Just screwing the dome cover back on is enough to move them and give you a blurry picture.

You might have a failing hard drive. Run Seagate SeaTools or WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic to rule that out.
