Passive Ethernet Over Coax & DC Power Supply?

Thanks guys! I will definitely take your advice and use the EOC devices. Ill hit up Andy as soon as the client approves and get some ordered. I did order one from Amazon and hooked up a demo camera in my shop using this method just to test for reliability. So far so good. These EOC adapters seem...

Passive Ethernet Over Coax & DC Power Supply?

Do you think using these over 16 channels, or using 5 to sent ethernet to centrally located POE switches would be reliable? These Linovision adapters are around $70 for a set, so cheaper than labor to run a new line

Passive Ethernet Over Coax & DC Power Supply?

They want to add cameras to cover dead areas, and it looks like they will end up with 22-24 cameras. I don't have an analog system over 16 channels

    Axis drop ceiling mount

I used #8 bolts, oversized washers, and wing nuts at my last drop ceiling job and it worked really well. Old cameras installed by another company had the bolts and wing nuts. I added the washers just to disperse wait a little. They didn't need it, but thought it was a cheap addition.

Passive Ethernet Over Coax & DC Power Supply?

Another questions for the well versed... I was asked to look into upgrading cameras in a College Fraternity House that currently has 16 analog cameras. The building is 14000 sqft, and is brick, with several additions that have made it's layout unique. About 10 years ago they remodeled the...

    NVR and ups

Connect anything you want to remain running if there is a power outage, but the more you connect, the less up time this device will be able to support. The NVR for sure. If you are using an external POE switch for your cameras, that as well. If you want to try and keep remote connectivity during...

Lorex Camera Won't Full Screen on Monitor

That's unfortunate. Any idea why the selected those 4 identical model cameras (1 connected via switch, 3 connected to back on NVR) to not work on Main in 4K only on the monitor connected to the NVR? The other 10 cameras (2 connected to Switch, 8 to back of NVR) that are the same model all work...

Lorex Camera Won't Full Screen on Monitor

The cameras and the NVR both use h265. I brought those four bullet cams down to 1080p in the main stream and they popped up as they should. It just bothers me as the cameras are 4K and the other 10 turret cams are 4K and work in the main stream fine. Just for some reason the 4K bullets won't...

Adapter to send VGA feed from HIKvision DVR to Charter-Spectrums COAX line for TV live feed?

I am running into a similar situation with a jewelry store I put cameras in. They have 5 monitors in the office, and their setup with the old DVR was BNC OUT from DVR into a 1x8 BNC splitter. The BNC splitter then sent signal over coax to each TV, then the BNC was adapted to RCA and plugged into...

Lorex NVR Cycling through Cams on 1 Channel

I ended up spending a lot of time talking to Nelly's (great customer service btw) and Lorex Support. Neither could figure it out. I ended up replacing one of the UNV PTZs with a Lorex PTZ and everything is up and running. No one is sure why the two UNV cameras keep fighting for space on the...

    NVR two Buildings

If the NVR in the house is on the same network as the Cat6 cable heading to the shop, you only need to connect the Cat6 running from the house to the shop to the POE switch, then run the cameras out from the switch. You don't need to run a return line. This is exactly how I put cameras on my...
