  • I done that after I go into image there is only 3 options on the right brightness, contrast, saturation. Unless it could be saturation.
Go into "configuration", then "image" then on the right side of the screen will be list of options and select "image enhancement" and you will see "Noise Reduction".
Hi mel I access camera thru pc I can not find any of the settings we have talked about on the nvr
and I can't find anything saying noise in the settings
Noise reduction must be set in each cameras web interface you cannot set it through the NVR. Can you access each cams web interface? I do not know how to access the cameras web interface with an NVR that has built in POE, all my NVR's are non-POE for this exact reason, I can easily access each cam from any PC on my network. There are a lot of other settings in the cameras web interface you need to have access to in order to get the best quality from your system, if you do not have access do a search on this site to access cams through an NVR with built in POE.
Hi mel thanks for all this help
I have turned up bit rate from 4096 to 8000 for all 4 cameras and frame rate down to 15 they were ok so I went to 20 and they are still running 2x2
now I have turned 2 cameras back up to 1080 and its still going
i can't find where to set the noise
And I won't know if the insect looking things are fixed till tonight
i still have to add another 4 cameras so all these settings might have to be changed again
i also changed the setting from video & audio 2 just video
Your NVR can only handle so much bandwidth (data), you need to adjust your resolution, FPS and bit rate so you get the best picture quality possible and still get 2x2 in multiscreen. Set the resolution lower (720p), lower FPS (15 is good) then increase the bit rate till you no longer get 2x2, then slightly decrease the bit rate till 2x2 comes back, this would give you the best picture quality plus 2x2 multiscreen.
No not the resolution, the bit rate setting should be on the same screen as the resolution setting in the cameras video settings menu. should look something like 4096 Kps
Hi mel ok I got it working 2x2 when I turned res down thanks for that
but now I've noticed there a like insects flying around on the monitor when watching live camera view, but they aren't actually insects it's something to do with cameras or nvr,so. Now it's continuous recording instead of motion detect,do you have any idea what it good be
I can't get into camera settings don't know if I'm doing anything wrong so i can't change res settings/ nvr is a Chinese mdl ds7608n-e2/8p firmware is v3.3.4. Build 150616 nvr is not connected to Internet either
if you can tell me how to check camera settings would be great from start to finish
what cables need to be plugged in and where exactly
like ports, lan,usb port, do in need Internet for nvr ??
Are all your cams running at full resolution? try reducing a couple to 720p, then see if you get all 4 pictures, if you can then your NVR cannot handle 2x2 at full resolution. What firmware are you on? there was a firmware update that allows multi view to use the sub stream but still record and view single screen at full resolution.
I can get 3 pictures up only, when I move them around to other boxes sometimes I lose a picture and it says in 2 boxes no resource
No you do not change anything in that menu, it is for info only, It looks like you have enough bandwidth (net receive idle 62 mbps), what happens when you select 2x2??
    ip camera 18 mbps
    remote live view 0 bps
    remote playback 0 bps
    net receive idle 62 mbps
    net send idle 80 mbps
thats under network stat all i can do is high light each section can't adjust any of them if thats what i am suppose to do
i have the china version ds7608n-e2/8p my nvr is not connected to the internet or pc at the moment so I'm not sure where i should be looking for theses settings
do i need to be connected to net or pc ???
What NVR are you using? Try looking in "system maintenance" "network detect" "network stat" it should show the amount of bandwidth you are using and the amount of un-used.
Hi mel42 I have the problem where I can't see 2x2 on multi screen
And I see you explained the problem it to another guy
Where do I find these settings mainstream & bandwith
My nvr isn't connected to internet at the moment
How do u change the settings thru nvr or thru pc that is connected to nvr
    Thanks for your help
I'm sure I will be asking you more questions when you reply
