A little investigation on my system: T5442TM and T5442T-ZE get continuous Event errors with ONVIF authentication enabled. T2431T, miniPTZ and 4K 180° are fine with authentication enabled. I didn't experience the issue at the time switch in March or November of last year.

Just a note: I (thought I had) disabled that darn IE_to_edge by renaming the BHO folder from "bho" to "bho_old", and it worked - until it renamed it back to "bho" 4 days later.

Yep. In the chit-chat forum there's a thread with a workaround to stop the redirection (hijacking) of IE to Edge.

Thanks for the tip! Last evening I got so far as knowing that the IEtoEdge thing was the culprit but didn't know how/where to neuter it. I changed that folder to BHO_OLD and IE is back, like you said.
