Dahua NVR5xxx-4K new firmware changes in NVR5XXX-4K_Eng_V3.210.0003.0.R.20170418

FWIW, I updated to version 20170418 on my 5232-4KS2 yesterday, and playback is much smoother.

    I messed up...

Deleted and reinstalled ConfigTool, then started a new IE window, typed in the NVR IP address, and got message saying windows was blocking the access, told it to allow access, and voila! Everything works, all settings were saved, and it works like before with new version installed. Whew! Think...

    I messed up...

Can now access nvr from configtool, but most menu setting changes I try to input are not accepted. Network settings can't be changed, and hard drive, cams not recognized in web service. All settings, cams, etc. seem to be ok using native os, but not sure what setting to allow IE web service to...

    I messed up...

Ok, I tried to upgrade firmware on my 5232 4k to the 20170418 firmware using the upgrade control in the nvr setup. I wanted to see if it would correct my skipped frames problem. However, after reboot the nvr is not accessible using the configtool, but is accessible using the IP address of the...

    Dahua IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS - Buy Log / Review

I have 4 of these cameras, a 5232 NVR, and an AT&T RG cascaded to a Nighthawk R7000 router. The Nighthawk router handles all of my devices, with addresses 10.0.0.XX. When I hook up a new cam, using ConfigTool, I give the cam an available 10.0.0.xx IP address, and then immediately go into the...

Strange things after NVR began to overwrite HDD

Acccording to Nayr, the NVR setting that causes the NVR to set the time for the cams is: Setup>System>General>IPC Time Sync (check box). And for what it's worth, the Amcrest cams don't have any problems either way-it's the Dahuas.

Strange things after NVR began to overwrite HDD

Had time differences before, and yes it can be difficult. Some of my cams won't work correctly with DST enabled, some only work with DST enabled, etc. But lately, they had been working ok and holding time steady. I would rather just have NVR control time for all, but was never able to get them...

Strange things after NVR began to overwrite HDD

I have a 3TB WD Purple in my NVR 5232 4Ks2, and 6 cameras, 4 Dahua HDBW4431r-ZS and 2 Amcrest cams, all set to record MD, no IVS. Seemed ok until the WD filled up and began to overwrite. Now recordings have timestamps that randomlyjump time back and forth by one hour during playback, and...

    Dahua camera is ONVIF?

In the NVR menu setup>Image>Remote Device> choose a camera and click on Modify>change manufacturer name to Private, click on Connect button, then OK. This should change it to Private, if the cams are Dahuas. My cams will operate as Private or ONVIF, and I don't really see any difference in...

    NVR Camera Channel Assignments

In the NVR, according to the order you have them configured in Setup>Image>Remote Device. Add them one-at-a-time to get them in the order you want.

Dahua NVR motion triggering simultaneous recording on all channels

The fix for my lack of MD on one channel was to return NVR to factory defaults, and then, with no cameras added yet, was able to access motion detect for all channels on nvr, and made sure each channel was set to record only that channel. Then when I added my cameras back, all were able to get...

Dahua NVR motion triggering simultaneous recording on all channels

Continuous record doesn't fix it but just proves the nvr can record from the camera. Now to try to fix MD. Will let you know tomorrow-thanks again.
