Acccording to Nayr, the NVR setting that causes the NVR to set the time for the cams is: Setup>System>General>IPC Time Sync (check box). And for what it's worth, the Amcrest cams don't have any problems either way-it's the Dahuas.

The fix for my lack of MD on one channel was to return NVR to factory defaults, and then, with no cameras added yet, was able to access motion detect for all channels on nvr, and made sure each channel was set to record only that channel. Then when I added my cameras back, all were able to get...

Continuous record doesn't fix it but just proves the nvr can record from the camera. Now to try to fix MD. Will let you know tomorrow-thanks again.

Ok, just went in to nvr and the camera and turned both to continuous record and that works... so must be a problem with my motion detection setting, whether in the camera or nvr, I can't figure out.

Or use a L.N.A. (low noise adapter) on the fan. Noctua makes some, and probably others. That's what I used on my NVR5232-SKS, and it quietened it down a lot, but still cools.
