I'm using Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1/4P NVR w/ WD Purple 2TB hard drive.

How can I access its storage so I can manage the files/videos?

Its connected to my LAN and I assigned a static IP on it.

Please help. Thanks.

You can't, as far as I know.
There are no direct access facilities within the web GUI or the VGA/HDMI interface apart from downloads.

When I explored this, looking at the raw block-level data after trying to mount /dev/sda with no success, it looks like Hikvision are using a proprietary layout, not a recognised file system.

I see. How can I manage the contents then? like deleting old footage to make room for new ones?

I know this can be done by removing the drive itself and connect to my computer's hdd dock but I wanna know if there's another way without physically removing the drive.

I recently updated a Hikvision NVR, and the playback function on both the browser and iVMS stopped showing any recordings.
Worth trying also before any physical removal of the HDD are the 'Rebuild' tabs in the NVR web GUI under 'Storage | Storage management | HDD Management tab'
These can sometime bring all those missing recordings back after a maintenance activity has impacted them.
