IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

The issue comes up on BlueIris. It seems like when it goes into night or day mode it will get all garbled on BI. Within BI if I select restart camera it restores the image.

I only just received these cameras and have not set anything up, just testing them on the bench right now. All the settings are on default at the moment.

In that case it is probably the codec being used in the camera. Change to H264H and general codec and FPS at 15 and iframes at 15.

I am using it fine in BI.

Those are the settings I have. I just switched to H264 (standard not H) to see if it will help

Clearing out the plugins worked for me. I only have this firmware on one of my 4K T cams. It's been working fine since I cleared plugins and re-installed.

What does clearing plugins mean? Not sure if it's related since I'm not using the browser UI interface and I'm seeing the garbled video on BI

Andy sent me over 3.120.0000000.39.R.230918 and initial testing seems that this older firmware resolves the problem. Seems like a bug in the latest firmware V3.140.0000000.22.R.240618.

When you installed the 3.120.0000000.39.R.230918 firmware, what browser did you use?

I updated my bullet to latest version today, does it take a very long time to come back alive? It is responding to ping, but web interface nowhere to be seen and video streams also nowhere to be seen. Not sure what is best to do next.

Did you do the 3 times factory reset, flash firmware, then 3 times factory reset or did you just go for it?

Ran into a strange issue when updating my IPC-Color4K-T180 to latest firmware (build 2023-09-18).
After the update the camera did not come back online.
It was pingable, but neither HTTP nor RTSP was working. Port scan revealed only port 8088 was open.
Power cycled PoE a few times and it did not make any difference. Left camera alone for 15 minutes and it never came back online.
Turned PoE off overnight.
In the morning, got my ladder out and removed the MicroSD/reset cover from the camera.
Went inside and turned PoE back on. Was about to head outside to press the reset button when I noticed the camera came back online.

Figured I would document this here in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

I have not run into the "No Signal" BI issue yet (although I'm an older version of BI).

I'm having exactly the same problem here now :/

Just updated it. no reset

I'll power it off and wait a while to see if it comes back. If not, then I'll take it off the wall and try to reset using the factory reset button

Remember newer isn't always better....did the release notes indicate it was fixing a problem you were experiencing?

Many have reported issues with the newer 4K-T and X firmware:

Mine sometimes was not picking up humans/cars and missing alerts so I was hoping to fix those problems

I've reset, no change, it shows as initialised under Dahua config tool, but I cannot initialise it, port 8088 is also open, but nothing responds. I'll leave it off for a while now to see if it makes any difference. I hope there is TFTP funcionality so I can get it to download the firmware again, or downgrade it. I have the turret model.
