Hi Everybody,

I bought the SD6AL433XA cam recently ( thank you @EMPIRETECANDY ).

The latest fireware is installed for this camera.

The spot cameras are used to link SD6AL433XA for different presets.
The spotter Cam 1 calls PTZ #1 , spotter Cam 2 calls PTZ #2 and etc.

The problem is that often autotracking doesn't work.

I uploaded several examples when spotter Cam 4 calls PTZ #4.
SD6AL433XA goes to Preset 4 but autotracking doesn't work.

Sorry for bad video quality is is phone screen copy.

I think it because IVS tripwire and intrusion box don't work.
I tried a lot IVS tripwire and intrusion box configurations but no success.

How can I deal with it?

Regards,
Denis

The first two it appears that the people didn't cross it enough. IVS will not kick in until at least half the object crosses and they were close, but probably not enough.

What FPS are you running at? Drop it to 15FPS

If it is like their other autotracking PTZs, the directions are as follows, so see if this is it:

You need to set up a preset.

Then you need to set-up the Smart Plan with Deep IVS for the presets you want to track.

Then select the object filters you want.

Then go to Deep IVS Rules Config page and you should see Track Time under alarm and Tracking Target size slider.

When setting up IVS rules, I strongly recommend you use intrusion box with appears and crosses instead of tripwire. And less is more. One IVS rule.

Leave min size as 0,0

Make sure that Motion Detection and Smart Motion Detection are turned off.

I repeat, make sure Motion Detection and Smart Motion Detection are turned off LOL.

For the Intrusion box rule to work , is it necessary that that the intruder crosses the Intrusion box borders or it is enough for the intruder to simply appears inside th Intrusion box without crossing?

The camera needs to recognize the target prior to the target entering the intrusion box.

The camera needs to recognize the target prior to the target entering the intrusion box.
The PTZ camera needs some ttime about 2-4 seconds to position to the PTZ Preset so moving intruder can be already inside of Intrusion box.
So the PTZ CAM will not see how an intruder crosses Intrusion box borders.

Is it necessary for the Intrusion box rule to work crossing box borders?

In this picture I can see that PTZ CAM recognize the target because the green rectangle appears around intruder.

Let's take the spotter out of the equation for a moment.

If you have the PTZ sitting at that preset and someone crosses IVS will it start autotracking?

So if that preset works without it being sent their by a spotter, then the VMS must be overriding it or the IVS line needs to be bigger to account for the delay.

Are you using BI or an NVR?

Post screenshots of the IVS setup in camera GUI and the screenshots of the VMS you are using for the spotter.

I uploaded IVS rules for Spot CAM2 and PTZ Preset 2 .

Scale: I have 2 of the 433XA PTZs that are triggered by several 5241s, 5842E-Z4E-S2 and SD8C845FG-HNF. The 433s will auto-track well when setup as described above but they will stop auto-tracking the subject, zoom back out to the preset it was called to when the subject crosses one of the spotter cams IVS rules, but they will reengage tracking fairly quickly.

I use several 5442 cameras for this and they works fine switching 433XA to necessary preset. I don't know I setup IVS rules for 433XA.
Could you tell me how you configured IVS rules for 433XA ?
Do you use triplines and intrusion boxes ?

Scale:

I use both trip lines and intrusion boxes and it works well, if it misses the intrusion then it picks up the tripwire. As far as setup of the 433 once you have saved your presets, start with Smart Plan as seen below:

Then go and setup your IVS as seen below:

And your off to the races.

Thank you for settings sharing. I'll try to make the same settings.

I setup intrusion box and trip lines. Unfortunately they dont work.
It was snowing a bit.

IMHO most of those should have tripped the IVS rules and tracked... so something not right.

One thing I noticed was the colors of the bounding boxes. You mention "green" lines on the bounding box and I see that clearly on the 3rd video and the snow video above,.

On my SD6AL433XA-HNR I got 4 colors of bounding boxes.
Yellow - Vehicles
Teal/Light Blue - Humans (and my Stop sign for some reason)
Green- ? movement that IVS cant categorize as Human or Vehicle?
Red- IVS activated

My IVS rules. A zig zag Tripwire overlayed on an Intrusion box. Both set to Human only AI
IVS-lines.jpg IVS-setup.jpg smartplan.jpg

Lets look at this sequence of a woman walking a dog. Notice the dog is bounded by a green box, the human by the Light Blue/Teal box. Vehicles by yellow boxes.

And here's the clip

So the camera ignored the Dog and the Green box.
It picked up the human as she crossed the tripwire line exactly 1 frame after the line turned red .

So if you are seeing Green bounding boxes, the IVS AI is not seeing that as a Human, OR you dont have Human tracking enabled in the Target Filter

How are you accessing the IVS controls to create the rules? You should do it through the camera web interface directly and use IE browser. If you dont use IE many settings wont save.

I almost always use NVR interface to setup IVS rules for all cameras.
There 3 ways to work with IVS rules: camera web interface, NVR interface and SmartPSS application for Windows.
Would you recomment to use ONLY web camera interface ?
Unfortunately I've not payed attention to it.
