This one is driving me mad. Have a 9664NI-i8 that is making an audible beeping sporadically. All audible alarms are turned off in configuration, at least as far as I can see.
When I lightly touch the front panel lock, the beeping stops. When I pull slightly on the front panel, it starts again. It will go away for a while, then start again a few hours later. The only other clue is that it MAY be temperature related, as it seems to be much less frequent if I leave the door to the equipment closet open. The only thing I can think of is some kind of expansion and contraction of the front panel plastic that triggers a 'tampering' alarm. I know that there are HDD temperature alarms available in the settings, but they are turned off. I don't see anything in the logs that aligns with a specific alarm/alarm condition.
Only other thing that I can say is that I don't have a key for the front panel lock, and am wondering if physically locking this rather basic lock would help.
