That is awesome - congrats @Holbs! But I agree with @CCTVCam - don't get to Miller'ed up in the event she is out and gets high and comes a knocking and you have to take matters in your own hand!
for those that may encounter such a situation down the road... before being served with the TPO, I basically could only use harsh words against her unless she was in the act of property damage. Be wary. Lots of Karen's out there. If I had grabbed her or roughed her up, she could of sued me and easily won (at least, so my lawyer told me). But now that TPO is served, I have the advantage.

That is so wrong - you catch her slashing tires and pull her away from your vehicle and you are the one going to jail....some messed up laws...
I agree that is it messed up kinda wrong. Yet, I could also see the other side of the fence in regards to law and order. Unless I posted "no tresspassing" signs on my property, she (or anyone) can walk onto my property with the reasonable legal expectation of preserving their constitutional rights (4th Amendment in this case of search/seizure). I could walk out and say "get out of here". That person would now be legally obligated to remove themselves from my property for fear of a trespassing charge (if found and detained by police).
Because there was not yet a trial/judge decision on her slashing my tires or any property damage even though I had clear evidence, in the eyes of the law....she (or anyone) has rights and could approach my publicly accessible property (would be different if I had a fence line), even at 3am. Hence, if I had caught her and physically abused her (by physically detaining her or roughing her up), she could of sued me and won. Remember, I am a 220lb 6'1" lumberjock man, she is a dainty 120lb 5'4" woman. That also plays it's part to any judge or jury.
This is what I was told in a 1 minute criminal lawyer verbal discussion. He could of been wrong, I could of mis-understood things. But it sure does sound like how our legal system operates. While I disagree with some of it, I understand our laws try to cover all bases as best as it can for the guilty and for the innocent which does leave obvious pitfalls here & there.

Yeah, I totally understand that as well, but we have seen story after story of intruders in a house and a homeowner defends themselves and they are the one brought up on charges. Just seems like more rights for the violator than the victim.

This is why it is critical that you know the laws in your jurisdiction, frontwards and backwards. Take a class or 3 on your local gun laws.

Had to attend a Zoom meeting to extend the 30 day Temporary Protection Order out to a full year. Took 3 minutes of judge time. She did not contest so judge said good, all done. However, since she was not in the court room (neither was I), she has to get officially served again for it to be put into effect. So I think I have to take the extended TPO (when they email it to me) to sheriff to get served. So...technically since original TPO ended this Thursday and new TPO does not take affect til she is served (she has hiding from police skillz), she is legally allowed to come around. Bummer.
I also have 98% completed my side of house security fence. This is an area that will store my $1700 utility trailer and work vehicle. Used 7'6" postmaster metal posts, redwood fence pickets turned horizontal, 1" gap between pickets to allow 60-70mph wind gusts. This is not so much a privacy fence since can see thru the gaps, but that was not my intention. I wanted a stable, no rot, no wind blown over fence on the side of the house.
It is a double gated entrance. 6' high and around 65' long. Lockable. All wood used was Redwood (2x4's, 2x8's, etc). Still gotta slap on some cover pickets. Bought 5 gallons of sealer that should be arriving Satuday.
You can see my SD4 PTZ there, 5442 dedicated to this area (might have to relocate it), Bosch PIR with pet immunity, and security light LED with motion.
I wanted something like this setup in due time with better understanding of Blue Iris, camera positioning, camera image settings, etc.... but was rushed into this setup due to the need to have something up and running as fast as possible.

Good job, nice design. However, it is a total shame that you had to do all of this because of one idiot.
admittingly, I was going to put the fence up eventually for the trailer and to hide things from HOA. It just hit my wallet hard to do it all in a rush. And all the 5442 camera's I bought off Andy.
Maybe now, I can sit back and enjoy learning Blue Iris and IP cameras :)

You did a great job though, Holbs. Hope the TPO gets there fast!
I'll have to do a final summary of what I have done since the first incident (Sept 14th) in regards to how this site helped me with obnoxious questions & answers, what home security precautions I added, etc.... for those folks that may find themselves starting out in the same situation and not know what to do by the letter of the law and or what to do to help secure the area.
234 posting thread...no one is going to read through it all :)

I had to draw the line somewhere. Considered electric barb wire on the top of the fence... but then thought of all the power these 25+ POE cameras are taking, might blow a fuse :)
Oh...reminds me. I still have to tackle my VTO and 3 VTH's. Had them setup but then Da Event happened. Kept the VTO working as I liked having a camera in the doorbell location.
