Hi to all,

i am wondring if anyone could help me.

I read the whole day threads about a.m. camera and tried a lot but i can't revive it.

  1. Stupid me, thought i can upgrade the cam (month ago - can't remember what version)...it came stock with 5.3.0
  2. played around with tftp downgrade to 5.3.0
  3. TFTP transmit digicap.dav until it says "transmittion complete" - nothing more happens - no reboot - ir leds ON
  4. used 5.2.5, 5.3.0, some newer 5.4.x versions - always same result
  5. but same, tftp says transmittion complete - nothing more happens - no reboot - ir leds ON

Some more infos:
  • tftp was in use under 192.0.0.128, cam with 192.0.0.64
  • ping to 192.0.0.64 is only working for the first seconds after power on
  • camera can't be found under 192.168.1.64
  • there is no CN in serial number (sticker on bottom of camera?)
I running out of ideas and appreciate any help from you guy's.

Your camera now has the Hikvision 'downgrade block' which prohibits the ability to re-load older firmware to recover it.
You are not alone in this - there is lots of it around, and there are solutions to fix the problem, and many have used them.

In summary, you need to :
Apply the 'brick-fix tool', maybe the EN version if not a CN camera, otherwise there is also a CN version.
This prepares the camera to be able to be recovered with earlier firmware, the '5.3.0 to 5.2.5 downgrader'.
Again, there are EN and CN versions.
The end result will likely be web GUI access with CN menus.
Then you can do the 'enhanced mtd hack' to allow the camera to be progressively updated with the EN/ML firmware.
