I test camera original fw for 2020-12, 2021-3, 2021-6 all can work with this one. Try to use IE or Configtool.

I still can't update my cameras. It still hangs on "transmitting files".
Yes, I've factory reset the cameras. I tried chromium, internet explorer, chrome. from windows 10 as well as linux.
If always can't go on, make a factory default to the camera and then upload it again, best way is to use configtool to make update.

Yes, factory reset and using config tool.
It still hangs at 50% then says either the device is offline or upgrade failed.

Just for fun, I downloaded from dahua website their firmware and there was a file called: web-x.squashfs.bin
I do not know what it does but tried uploading it. And that went 100% and gave a green OK mark.
But the firmware still does the same thing, 50% and hangs.

Has the first lot of batches stopped receiving firmware updates?

This thread here IPC-T2431T-AS Firmware issue | IP Cam Talk highlights that two different batches exist and different firmware applicable depending on which batch you have.

Unlucky for me, I have 2 of the old batch and 2 of the new batch. So 2 camears were able to be upgraded to latest firmware found in this thread I am replying to. But the other 2 cameras I am unable to upgrade.

Here the upgrade proces also 'hangs' with 50% and after a while it retries and then it says 'Device is offline, please check device version.'
The camera seems to restart and still has the old firmware.

I''m trying to update an IPC-T2231T-ZS camera (usingthe Dalhua Windows Config Tool v5.0)

From: V2.800.0000000.10.R, Build Date: 2019-11-23
To: General_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_NP-CustomPro-Pd_V2.820.15OG000.0.R.210706.bin

Hi Andy,

After upgrading to June 2020 (DH_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_PN_V2.800.0000000.19.R.200628.bin),
and then upgrading to July 2021 (General_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_NP-CustomPro-Pd_V2.820.15OG000.0.R.210706) worked perfect and update was succesfully!

Thank you very much!

Do you have a link to the files you used. The links no longer work :( Need to upgrade mine and having the same issue as you!

I have IPC-T2231T-ZS cameras and just performed the upgrades in order as suggested above (.200628 then .210706). I rebooted my Dahua NVR but am still missing options under the camera menu. Only registration, image and encode are showing. I am trying to get motion detection back. Also, I notice the camera type in the registration screen is listed as IPC-HDW2231T-ZS-S1, I'm not sure if that changed or not after the firmware upgrade. Can anyone advise please?

To make matters worse, I'm trying to look into an incident yesterday but I do not see fast forward buttons in the web player playback screen. They were last time I checked (albeit months ago).

Just make a default to the camera, and check again.
If not work, make a factory default, then should be ok.

Hi Empiretecandy, thanks for the reply. Sorry if I am slow, but I don't see these options. I am in Camera\Registration. Print screens below of the registration and the upgrade tab.

For the two cameras I had that were earlier variants I upgraded them both to DH_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_PN_V2.800.0000000.19.R.200628.bin then once done I was able to perform another upgrade to General_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_NP-CustomPro-Pd_V2.820.15OG000.0.R.210706.bin which successfully worked. Now all four of my T2431T's are on the same version.
