If you get the SFF (small form factor) you can fit an ssd and 3.5. The ultra slim (USDT) can only fit one 2.5. The tower can fit more. How many hard drives will fit in the EliteDesk 800 enclosure? I'd like to run an SSD for OS and a 3.5" for storage. Thanks!
Do you mean an i5-4590?Thanks for the reply, fenderman. I'm seeing one of these machines for $240. If I add a 4TB WD Purple and an old SSD I have layin around, you think I'll have a rockin system for Blue Iris and 4 or 5 3mp Hik cams? How many 3mp cams would be an upper limit for this machine? It comes stock with 8Gb Ram.
Thanks
It will handle 4-5 3mp cams at about 20 percent cpu...it will vary by your settings.Yes, I think the title of this thread was discussing an i5-2400 but I am looking at the i5-4590, the same computer I've seen you recommend in a couple threads. Just wanted to confirm this would be a good choice for 4-5 3mp cams. Thanks!!
