I currently have a dedicated Win7 pro machine for BI at work. I upgraded to 4.4.8.8 and now have 100% CPU issues and crashes after selecting a camera for viewing. NO I don't a have a BI update and I always just did the updates once the the prompt popped up after boot up.
(lesson learned there)
There was thread talking about crashes and bp2008 had posted a link to downgrade to 4.4.7.4, I installed the downgrade and rebooted... no success. After a few more reboots just to confirm I saw that 4.4.8.9 was released and I tried that since I had nothing to loose at that point. Same 100% CPU issue.
I have been wanting to upgrade my machine to Win 10 and a SSD for the OS and main BI program file. This may be my time.
I have 33 cameras in my setup so I am hoping I don't have to manually enter each cam back in. I have exported the .reg file BUT will that .reg file bring the crash issues to my W10 machine?
My home BI machine is a Win 10 with 4.4.8.8 and works great.
Should I upgrade to Win 10 on SSD - reinstall BI and then import the old .reg file?
Or do I need to do it all from scratch again?
Thanks!
