I need just a simple outdoor rated IR emitting stationary bullet camera that's wired to my computer or router and is run by software on my computer. I only have a need for a single camera so hopefully I can get away fairly cheaply here. What's the cheapest camera that you would recommend? The smaller the better. Thanks!

What is your goal - OBSERVE or IDENTIFY?

If IDENTIFY, at what distance?

Thanks for asking. I'm thinking observing should be good enough. Any action would be within about 40 ft of the camera.

A camera to IDENTIFY at 40 feet is different than a camera to IDENTIFY at 15 feet.

This would be the go to observe BULLET camera that has infrared capabilities.

Oh shoot I was looking for something in the $50 and under range. I checked ebay for a used one and nothing came up when I typed Empiretech bullet camera.

Well you can certainly find cameras that cheap, but then you get motion blur and ghosting that isn't really of much use.

I searched ebay for empiretech bullet camera and nothing came up. Maybe could you suggest another bullet camera I could find used on ebay, and then I can resell for about what I paid for it after I'm through using it? I only need it for the next few months anyway.

While we wouldn't recommend this camera for most uses, for $50ish it will beat the other $50ish cameras out there.

Just don't expect it to do much IDENTIFY
