Hi guys.

Which reliable email providers have you confirmed work with hikvision cameras? post the gmail SSL non support?

I've been without notifications for 2 weeks now and its a pain.

I've read all the posts in gmail failure but interested in who people are now using or is there a gmail work around?

cheers

I'm using a hosting services -- stablehost. I pay for it for another purpose, so it's no added expense for me.

I use the yandex.com for the camera with SSL and so far it's working ok. I am located in southern Europe (if it matters at all).

SMTP2GO is a mixed bag. Also they dont tell you but youre rate limited to 25 emails an hour.

Which doesnt work well for 4 hikvision cameras as you know when theres movement they can be chatty even on just line and intruder.

SMTP2GO with no SSL works per below.

SMTP2GO did not seem to work with SSL 465.

Still really need an alternative....

sender : valid email address of yours
SMTP Server: mail.smtp2go.com
authentication yes
SMTP Port: 2525

Username: youruser@smtp2go.com
password: your password

Do you use a pc with your setup? If you do, you could use software to send notifications.
Gmail still works that way.

Edit, looks like there might be a fix by updating the firmware
