Our team picked up on these two the other night. For some reason, these guys were stealing spare tires off of 2500 work trucks, Its not the first time that this has happened just like this, in the area of the yard. Its happened several times during the day, where a guy in a mechanics shirt will drive onto the lot, park his truck in this area, and crawl under several work trucks. They cut the cables on the mechanism that holds the tires under the vehicle, so it seems like just a spare tire at first, but the cable and mechanism, along with the tire is about $800 to repair and replace. 1 tire = felony. The sheriff's office was only able to get the driver of the truck. The second guy took off of foot. The driver is taking responsibility of the entire incident and not ratting on his accomplise. He's still in jail and his truck was impounded.

The end of the video seems a little strange. I see the video cuts out for about 3 minutes before the sheriff arrives. Did the driver just of the truck just sit there waiting for something or had the sheriff already arrived and was just waiting before confronting the truck driver?

The driver and the truck were stopped off camera, down that road about a block away. The end of the video shows the officers setting up a perimeter to try and catch the second guy that was on foot. He made it out of the area before the K-9 units arrived. Where the truck dropped the guy off is where the property ends. We don't have a shot of that area or there would be some other footage included in the video.
