New to the site and just installed a hikvision NVR and 7 Hikvision turret cameras, using the ivms 4500 app i have noticed 6 cameras as fluent and 1 as clear, whats the difference and how do i change it? thanks in advance

Clear = main stream
Fluent = substream
Custom = on devices that support transcoding, you can set up the resolution/fps/bitrate you want to receive

interesting 7 identical cameras yes the one showing clear only has a resolution of 640 x 360 compared to 2688 x 1620
rebooted the camera and its back to high res yet still showing clear on the ivms app compared to the other 6 showing fluent

You can change it youself! You choose what stream you want to see.
On the icons you have on the bottom, choose the fourth one. There you can choose clear (main stream), fluent (substream), or custom.
interesting on that camera fluent isnt an option only clear or custom, checking through live view I cannot receive a substream on that camera
