I have a Dahua starlight turret camera IPC-HDW5231R-Z.
I need a locking screw of the cam. (The red circle of the below image.)
But I don't know the part number and don't know where to buy it.
Or... Is there any alternatives?

In reference to the set screw, if you're mounting a turret directly on a wall, is it generally preferable for that set screw to be oriented towards top of the mounting plate or facing below towards the ground?

It'll depend on where you need to pivot the base to get the view you need.

My only concern is the gap that appears when pointing a turret directly forward. If the set screw is oriented to the top on a turret mounted directly on the wall, the gap becomes prominent on top (in between the housing and actual camera body) [vice versa], which may in turn, allow water, debris, and insects to reside there after some time.

Someone here had inserted weather-stripping to mitigate this, but is there a better solution available?

Bullet-cameras are no longer viable. Birds like to rest on top of them. Squirrels like to play parkour on them all the time as well, lol
