Weird HHD Issue with Hikvision NVR OEM DS-7608NI-I2/8P and WD Purple

I've had this Hikvision OEM NVR for about two months. I picked up two 8TB WD Purple drives for it. I only use it for LPR storage. Anyway, I was having some service work done and the power to the house was turned off without me being there to shut everything down properly. When power was turned back on, I had an error with one of the hard drives.




Since the HHD is only about two months old, I figured that it might be something else. I've swapped SATA and power cables around with the good drive. Swapped SATA ports on the NVR motherboard, deleted and tried re-initializing and everything points to the drive being bad. Here's the kicker...I put it in my windows PC and I can format it and it works fine.

Is there a setting on the HDR I'm missing? Any ideas are appreciated.

Another Hikvision NVR that doesn't like being shut down correctly (power fail).
Have you tried putting the HD back into the NVR and attempt format from UI.

Yeah, no dice. I don't have another spare HHD to try. The good HDD works in both slots, with both SATA and power cables.
