Weather overlay not showing in alerts clips

The weather overlay is showing in the live camera view but not in the alert clips. Any idea what may have happened? Thanks

If you are using Direct to Disk then overlays will not be recorded.

Well I believe that must be the case... is there a disadvantage to not using direct to disk? I would like to get the overlay if changing the setting doesn't cause some trouble.

Thanks for the info and link... I just checked and apparently I'm not using direct to disk.
