I picked up something today (yes, I bought 2 cameras today) called a Vstarcam G96 (also for $30 CAD). It has no ethernet port. It's kind cool - it has bidirectional audio (build-in speaker) and SD card slot. When it's powered up it acts like an open wifi access point. So I connect to it, and then do a port scan and find that it's browser accessible on port 81 (it's also open on 7101 and 7103 which I think are OnVif). Ok, fine. I mess around through the menu's and set it to connect to my wifi network. It reboots, and it connects to my network, at which point it is no longer operating as a wifi access point (which is ok) but it no longer is operating a web interface on port 81. I do a port-scan all the way up to 8000 and find that it is open on ports 7101 and 7103. Not having the web interface sucks at this point. I just want to set it up as a fixed-location motion-detector that shoots a few pics to an email address. Not interested in video recording.

Anyone know anything about these cameras?
