VSPlayer and Thumbnails

I've been recording video with Hikvision ColorVu cameras for two years now and never been able to figure out how to produce .mp4 files that display a thumbnail image. Does anyone know how to get the recorded files to show up as thumbnails and not just icons? Of course I've tried associating the files with every other type of video player software I'm aware of, but as we all know, it's VSPlayer or nothing.

Do you mean while looking at the list of video files with Windows Explorer you want to it show an actual thumbnail of the video, not the icon for VLC or WMP, etc. ?
If so, in Windows Explorer under "View", select "Medium Icon" or larger.
