VLC Media Player Android App - Not Remembering Login Data

Installed VLC on a Windows desk top and it opens a Dahua IP camera RTSP feed without issue. Installed the app on a Android Samsung tablet and the app will open the RTSP feed one time.

The URL consists of a user name and password. However, it appears that once the mobile app is terminated (on the tablet) and restarted, the VLC player has forgotten the the login data and will NOT display the feed. No field shows up requesting login data.

Is there a way to make the VLC mobile app operational in place of reentering a long URL each time the app is used?

Have not found a solution for the VLC issue. If on a desktop, there is a solution, but for the tablet apparently not.

However, did install Tiny Cam on the Samsung android tablet and it works fine. IMO it is a better tool to use my application which is viewing a live feed when positioning/aiming a bullet camera.
